Susan runs into Marel

Susan left the chambers to seek out the Leaders. Along the way she ran into Marel.

"Susan?"

"Oh hello, Marel"

"Are you okay?" asked Marel, "I've been worried sick about you"

Susan looked at the ground. Dammit, she needed to get to the Leaders. If Marel kidnapped her or something...

"I'm sorry, mo... mist... I mean Marel"

Marel stroked Susan's face.

"Listen, I'm sorry I thought you betrayed me" she said, "I didn't know Marcie had messed you up so bad"

Susan was touched by Marel's kindness but then she remembered her actual mommy would sometimes do the same thing when she needed her for something. Susan knew her mother would just get back to back to calling her a stupid cow, stripping, humiliating and belt whipping her but she was just so desperate for affection and praise she went along anyway.

Gina had been the same way, she usually just used intimidation to get what she wanted from Susan but sometimes she actually needed to use kindness. Then Gina would go back to intimidation. Susan figured it was the same way with Marel.

She was only being nice because she wanted something from her. Maybe take her back and punish her for her "betrayal".

"Please, ma... I'm Marcie's slave now" she said, "I have an errand to run and she'll be angry if I'm late"
