Chapter 6 by aika092 aika092

What's on the other side of the door?

A park

Stacy stumbles out of the toilet door and into... a public park?! Not one she recognizes, but very generic. Winding paths, lush green grass, trees, and so on. It's a hot summer's day and the sun beats down onto her exposed skin. Even in such a skimpy outfit, it won't be long before she starts sweating. A small number of people are visible from where she's stood - there's a woman in a sundress reading a book on a bench, a male groundskeeper in green overalls tending to a flowerbed, a man in shorts and a T-shirt walking a small dog, and two young men skateboarding.

It's all Stacy can do to stop herself from returning to the toilets and hiding her skin with shame. Meanwhile, Amelia is already click-clacking her way along the path from the toilets towards the dog walker.

Stacy watches from round the corner, semi-concealed by the outdoor wall of the toilets, as Amelia catches up with the dog walker and greets him. Stacy can't hear what she's saying but it probably doesn't even matter - what the man sees to really be reacting to is her outfit. He throws his hands up in the air and backs off a couple of steps, before shaking his head 'no'. Amelia cocks her head to one side and shrugs before leaving him alone and moving on towards the two skateboarders. Does she have no shame?

No, Stacy realizes, it's not that she has no shame. It's just that compared to what it means to win or lose 1000 Conversion Points, the stakes here are nothing. Nothing matters here. She has no public reputation to lose, and nothing but her own morale and ego to damage.

Gathering all her willpower, she steps out from behind the corner and strides towards...

Who does Stacy approach?
