Just don't panic

You start to panic but a rumble in your stomach and the smell of surprisingly good food get you to settle down. During dinner you listen your new boyfriend talk about his work day. You get an email toward the end of the meal from a previous employer telling you that you can pick up your last check. You search your phone for any hints of what you might do for work. The only thing you find is an order for a streaming set up. As you are about to close it, Kevin walks up and says "I know you are anxious. Remember I more then enough for this place. We are just waiting for the lease to run up." You find yourself smiling at that thought. "Maybe I can stay here in this life for a while." you think before following him as he takes you by the hand.

He leads you to the spare bedroom which is a gaming room. Twin computers sit on lit up desk. You two spend the night playing casual games together. Nothing you hadn't done before with friends but not your normal cup of tea. As you play and chat, you find yourself feeling more comfortable and kind of falling for the cute boy.

As the two of you settle into bed, you think of what you are going to do. Stay here forever? Life swap to a different life? Upgrade yourself for him? That last one brings in some warm fuzzies as you fall asleep.
