"Okay, okay! Fine! I'll do it!"

Jessie withered under the pleading gazes of her comrades and Tifa's ferocious glare. She took a few steps back from the table, her eyes darting between AVALANCHE members. None offered her pity or refuge.

"Okay, okay! Fine! I'll do it!" Jessie said, at least, shoulders drooping in defeat. "Guess I should have seen this coming, really."

"Excellent." Tifa smirked and crossed her arms. She was happy Jessie acquiesced voluntarily. It saved her the hassle of twisting her arm, figuratively and literally, if need be. "Let's get planning then. We have to pick a date, make some posters, and..."

"So soon!" Jessie squeaked.

"Two months will be gone before you know it." Wedge said, not bringing himself to look at either Tifa or Jessie.

"And we don't want to wait too long. Might cause suspicions if the...uuuh..." Biggs hesitated. "Fundraiser takes place too close to the raid."

"And if your mission is unsuccessful," Barret barked, staring forward past everyone towards the bar. "Then doing things sooner gives us time to gather more funds."

Tifa and Jessie locked eyes for one meaningful moment, and Tifa could tell, with no small amount of satisfaction, that it was just now hitting Jessie what exactly she had gotten herself into.
