Embarrassingly but smoothly

With her arms doing what little they could to shield her nudity, Mackenzie reluctantly exited Mason's car. The winter air felt unbearably cold on her bare skin, making the redhead visibly shiver. Mackenzie found herself paradoxically dreading entering the bank while also feeling quite eager for the warmth it would soon offer.

"Don't worry," Jess said to Mackenzie as she closed the car doors. "I've got your back. Literally."

Jess protectively moved behind Mackenzie, and she smiled briefly at her friend's support. But any feelings of comfort swiftly vanished as she followed Mason across the parking lot. Had he parked so far away on purpose? Probably.

Asshole, Mackenzie thought. I can't believe he's dragging me around in public like this. Why in the hell did I make that bet last night? So stupid!

Mackenzie was extremely tempted to just give up on the whole ordeal and grab something, anything to wear. But she had no doubt that Mason would be more than willing to hold up his end of the wager if she did so. And then Mackenzie could kiss all of her clothes goodbye. And after having finished her first semester at college in exactly that boat, Mackenzie was determined not to wind up in that situation again. For now, it seemed like sticking out a few errands in the buff was, ironically, her best option.

The three of them entered the bank, which was thankfully mostly deserted. It looked like there were two female tellers helping a couple customers at the counter, along with a line consisting of two waiting men. The trio fell in line behind them, and both of the men did double-takes at the sight of the naked beauty before them. Mackenzie blushed more deeply and looked down at the floor, trying to ignore the gazes she was certain were poring over her body.

"Don't even try it, pal," Mackenzie heard Jess growl at one of the men. He hastily stuffed the phone he'd been retrieving back into his coat pocket and turned back toward the counter. Mackenzie was glad her friend was with her at least, even if she was stuck naked in the middle of a bank. A few moments later, it was their turn and the trio made their way up to the waiting teller.

"Hi, what can I help you with to..." the woman trailed off as her eyes locked onto the obviously naked girl standing in front of her. A perplexed expression formed on her still smiling face. "Uh... are you alright miss?"

Mackenzie couldn't bring herself to meet the woman's gaze. She just pursed her lips and nodded silently.

"If you, uh, don't mind me asking... why aren't you wearing any clothes?"

"I... don't really have a choice," Mackenzie mumbled, looking at the tiled floor again.

"What, did you lose a bet?" the woman asked. She seemed to be finding the situation more humorous than anything else.

"Believe it or not, this is her winning a bet," Mason chuckled as he plopped a few checks onto the counter.

"Well that's the first time I've heard that one!" the teller laughed as she began processing Mason's checks. "You're lucky our boss isn't here today, he'd probably have a fit just looking at you! Michelle are you seeing this?" she called to her coworker.

"You mean the naked girl? Oh, I noticed her alright," the other teller responded. "Kind of hard to miss!" The two of them laughed together, causing Mackenzie's face to redden even further.

A few excruciatingly embarrassing minutes later, Mackenzie was exiting the bank, surprising another lucky bank-goer who was heading inside.

"Checks deposited," Mason said cheerily as he unlocked the car. Mackenzie wasted no time in scrambling back into its relative seclusion. "See? That wasn't so bad, right?"

Mackenzie scoffed at his comment but didn't say anything.

"Let's just get a move on already," Jess said from the passenger seat, clearly not thrilled with Mason's glib attitude. "What's our next stop?"
