Chapter 7

You can't die already... Right?
Of course not
Time seems to slow down, adrenaline surges throughout your body as your weightlessness fades from your mind. This is it? The end of the great Michael Knight? How pitiful...
The second window comes into view and outcomes four snapping hands that instantly latch onto your upper body. Jake and Dwayne grab your t-shirt and all but slam you into the side of the building. Within a matter of seconds you're safely yanked through the open window and onto the cold hard floor. You sit up and start to breathe again, not realising you'd stopped. Water drips down your body sending a shiver down your spine.
"What happened up there?" Jake asks as you gulp down the crisp evening air.
"They-" The memory of teeth ripping apart your brother sends another shiver down your back. "They're a lot stronger than they look. They broke through the door, shattered it. They shattered a fire door." With unknown numbers and an overwhelming strength, there was a dark aura of hopelessness circling the small group you had stood around you. A firm hand heaves you up.
"Doesn't mean we can't get through this." Dwayne grins, "we've only got a little ways to go and we're out of this shithole for good." You give a firm squeeze back and he lets go.
"Yeah... Yeah you're right, we've gotta press on." You shake off the negative thoughts clawing at the edge of your mind. "The mail chute is just at the end of the hall, let's get out of this room and go." You exit first out of the classroom and turn down the long, blood stained hallway. There's marks of blood covering the walls and a large puddle of blood covering the floor a little ways away. You hear a scuffling noise behind a nearby door. You reach to your freshly acquired utility belt and pull out the extendable baton, stepping closer to the door.
The door slowly inches open with a set of pale blue eyes peering out. You take a defensive step back, readying yourself for an attack. The door opens more to the presence of a sandy blonde haired; broad shouldered, round-faced, short girl. You stare in bewilderment for a moment before an obnoxious voice calls out from behind. "Sup." You can almost feel Charlie smiling.
"Are you guys getting out of here?" The girl asks, completely ignoring Charlie.
You give a firm nod, "You okay to move?" Taking a second look you notice bits of dried blood over her red and white top and on the edges of her long sleeves.
"Yes, me and the others weren't bit. Just had one hell of a fight to get in here." She gestures over her shoulder, more women start to come to the door, each of them holding a weapon of some sort and covered in dried blood, some more than others. There's six new people in total, including the girl in front of you. "I'm Claire, what's your plan?"
"Michael, the mail chute, we have a guy waiting on us. What do you mean you weren't bit?" Your question doesn't get answered as a loud guttural moan echoes throughout the hallways, a chorus of shrieks soon follows as the shuffling of footsteps starts to stampede closer.
"Right ladies let's go!" A taller older woman pushes Claire forward, out of the door and into your chest which you steady and hold in your arms, her large boobs squishing into you pleasantly. "If you slow down, you'll be in deep shit so get your tampons in and get your ass in gear."
"Yes ma'am!" All but Claire say sternly. You look down into the pale blue eyes, the hint of a blush begins to spread over both of your faces. She steps away as the rest of the girls leave their room.
"You heard the lady, to the chute." Charlie races forward, taking the lead. The stampede edges their way closer, getting louder by the second. Both groups rush to the mail chute, avoiding the large blood pool in the middle of the room. You're left at the back as everyone else takes off, and as the first wave of the injured people scrambling from behind your group comes into view.
Charlie reaches the chute first and dives in straightaway. Ten more to go, we won't have enough time. You turn to face to stampede and ready your baton. The first 'person' lunges once it's in range which you deflect and back up slightly. It tumbles to the floor causing the rest to begin toppling over the leader. You glance back and notice a few more have made it down the chute, you inch backwards as the 'people' behind just clamber straight over their fallen comrades. Once again the new leader lunges and you counter and back up further.
"Run Michael!" Jake shouts. You turn and see he's the last one to go. You burst into a sprint as hands start grasping out for your healthy legs, you leap over the blood pool and narrowly pass by more 'people' coming from the other hallways on either side, which causes you to tumble. With a roll you scamper out of the way of them as they collide into each other. You scramble to your feet, hearing the skidding of feet on wet surfaces, and the subsequent crash onto the ground.
You pull the cold handle of the mail chute open and take a quick look back. "What the fuck is going on?" You ask yourself, with a shake of your head, you jump into the darkness of the chute.
Where do you end up?
Undead Souls
End of the world
In the near future of an alternate reality, a zombie virus has started to spread and begins a worldwide rampage. So it's time to grab your loved ones and survive in these soon to be hell infested lands or rise above and save the world. At the age of 21 do you have what it takes to live in this new world. The zombie apocalypse is almost upon you, do what you must to survive. (Based upon my love for zombies, HOTD, and interactive zombie games that I've played. Just a quick warning this story takes time to get to any juicy bits as I want to focus on the plot rather than any 'plot' if you catch my drift. Any-who, hope you enjoy!)
