Praise her, rile her up against her sister!

“Sorry you had to come all the way here at this time. Millie’s an idiot who can’t hold her liquor,” Barry said derisively.

His words caused Kelli to flare up at her sister. “Yeah, you’d think little Miss Perfect would know her limits.”

Barry could tell that this anger hadn’t totally sprung out of nowhere. Kelli most likely had an inferiority complex to some degree; following up after a sister who excelled at both her work and her looks had clearly had an impact on Kelli, even if she didn’t normally show it.

No doubt she loved her older sister dearly. However, these unusual circumstances had brought this complex out into the open and Kelli took this rare chance to get angry at and badmouth her sister.

Which gave a perfect chance for a trap.

“Yeah, why don’t you come in?” Leading Kelli through the house, he poured out a cup of absinthe for her when he reached the drinks table.

“Your sister couldn’t even handle half a cup of this!” He lied through his teeth, remembering that Millie was smart enough to avoid the absinthe and that Tessa was the dumb slut who rose to the bait. “I’m sure Millie’s smarter and more beautiful sister can handle this no problemo, though,” Barry continued, winking and flashing a charming smile at Kelli.

Emboldened by Barry’s praise, Kelli’s naïvety clearly showed in a bid to outperform her sister as she grinned, took the proffered cup and proceeded to down the cup in one, causing even Barry’s eyebrows to shoot up. That complex must have been bigger than he had thought, for the girl to want to surpass her sister so badly.

Or maybe she was an absolute goddess at holding her liquor, who knows?
