You expected to fall straight into the water, but to your surprise you hadn't fallen that far at all. You were dangling from your mother's pink pillowy lip, however she didn't seem to notice you were there. Waves of hot air blew down on you from her nose as she breathed, slowly and rhythmically. You weren't entirely sure, but it seemed like she had fallen asleep.

You considered calling to her now, unsure of whether or not she'd wake up, but you felt yourself slipping off her wet lip. You scrambled to climb up, and, with her face tilted back the way it was, you were able to stand on her lip instead.

"Mom! MOM!" you yelled for her as loud as you could, but her only response was a long exhalation from her nose that almost knocked you off her face. You recalled that she had always been a heavy sleeper. You needed a plan of action. You thought of trying to get closer to her ear, but her slippery wet hair would've stopped you. If you tickled her nose, she might just wind up smearing you across her face if she went to scratch it.

You were beginning to consider just climbing back off of her face and waiting for her to wake up when you felt something shift under you. You felt your stomach drop as you realized what was happening. She was yawning! Her mouth opened wide beneath you, those soft lips that had always made you feel so safe and loved with their kisses had now become most terrifying thing you'd ever faced. Time seemed to slow down as you fell into her gaping maw, and watched the light disappear.

You screamed as loud as possible for your mother to wake up, but she shut her mouth and heard none of it. You managed to grab onto her slimy tongue before you fell into the abyss that was her throat, but you wouldn't be able to hold on for long. Eventually you would have to accept that this was the end. But then her tongue began to move throwing you around her mouth.

Your sleeping mother did know you were there, subconsciously at least. In her dream, however, you were simply a piece of candy. She sucked on you, rolled you in her cheeks and over her tongue, drenching you in saliva. You were the best tasting thing to ever enter her mouth!

She toyed with you in her sleep for quite some time, savoring your flavor. But, as with all good things, it had to come to an end.
