Chapter 9 by Cretan_Bull14 Cretan_Bull14

How does she feel in the morning?

Off to a slow start

You are so tired that the deep sleep you are having makes the night pass quickly. When you wake up, you don’t even remember your dreams. All you know is that you are still on the couch with Melody and that you are hungry. Sometime during the night, your arm has ended up underneath her body. Rather than try to pull your arm out quickly and end up falling off the couch, you decide to gently nudge your friend awake.

Melody, time to get up.” You whisper into her ear as you softly push on her bare shoulder.

“Nnnn, just ten more minutes.” She responds back to you.

“I’m hungry. I gotta cook breakfast.” You groan as you pat your stomach with your free hand.

Melody raises her body slightly, allowing you to pull your hand out from under her. Being the friend that you are, you quietly step to the kitchen and begin cooking. In just a few moments, there is a small meal sitting on your table. You just sit down to eat when you hear some stirring coming from the sleeping woman on the couch.

“Hmmmm, I smell bacon.” Melody says as she smacks her lips.

“Come and get it while it’s still hot girl.” You tell her as you pour ketchup onto a pile of home fries. Melody gets up from the couch and quickly wraps herself up in the sheet the two of you slept under and comes to the table.

“God, how are you still single?” Your best friend compliments you as she admires your morning concoction and takes a seat. She quickly dives into the omelet you made for her as you begin talking.

“So what would you like to do today? There are all sorts of things going on around and off campus. We could hit up the ball game. Or the bowling alley. The Natural History Museum has a new exhibit opening today. Maybe a concert? Do any of those strike your fancy?” You ask Melody, knowing full well that she would be up for any of those under normal circumstances but you are not sure about today.

“I don’t know. Part of me wants to go out and do something, but part of me wants to just stay in. Why don’t we just get dressed, head out for the day, and whatever we end up doing is what we do?” She says as you scarf down your food.

What do you two end up doing?
