Making a deal

As you sit down at the table with lawyer, he looks very uncomfortable with the situation.

The lawyer says, "Listen... You can't re-open the divorce case against my client", he watches you nervously for your reaction.

"Why not?", asks Cassidy, "I want to make the asshole suffer, and pay up!".

"Maybe we can set up some deal, but we have to keep this low profile... out of the courts, and out of the media's attention", the lawyer says.

"Why's that? What are you hiding?", you ask this time.

"Well...", the lawyer says, looking uncomfortable, "My client is planning on running for president... A scandal like this would be very damaging to his campaign"

"HAH!", Cassidy bursts out, "President... I'm gonna make him pay... big!"

"Maybe we can settle a deal..." says the lawyer, "But your side of the deal must be that you sign an agreement to keep this out of media attention".

Before you speak, you look at Cassidy to let her know that you will lead this. "How much are we talking about? I mean, the guy's a billionaire...".

"What's your demand?", the lawyer asks.

You think for a while, and the speak "250 Million US Dollars" you say.

The poor guy nearly collapse in his chair.

You look at him with a serious expression, to let him know you're not joking. Then you take out your phone and start playing the video you recorded earlier. "I'm afraid I would have to ruin your career if you don't take this serious..." you say, "And for your clients presidency plans... We'll put a dent in those plans too... I suggest you consider our demand seriously".

The lawyer is sweating now, and wipes his forehead nervously, "I can raise a strong case to my client..." he says, "For 100 Million... How about that?".

You think for a while, and suddenly you sense an interesting thought in Cassidy's mind. You give her a mental nod, making her speak her mind.

"100 Million... And his Malibu Beach residence... That would be our demand, and it's not negotiable!" she says with a dangerous smile on her face, watching the lawyer closely.

The lawyer sinks hard, and you wonder what this residence is, that Cassidy is talking about. Then you see the visual in her mind...

The lawyer replies, defeat in his tone, "That property has a value of 50 Million... Probably much more, it has not been re-valuated for years...".

Hot damn, she's tough!, you think to yourself.

You speak next, with a stern tone to the lawyer "Make it happen... Or your career is over, and we will ruin your clients plans of presidency".

The lawyer thinks for a moment, "I'll see what I can do, but it will take some time..."

You can't believe how well this is working out, even without using your powers at this stage.

"I'll give my details to your assistant before we leave..." you say, "10 Million should be transferred to my bank account within 48 hours... The remaining 90 Million within a week, understood?".

The lawyer nods, "Yes".

You continue, "As for the Malibu residence... You'll get ten days to arrange the documents for transferring the ownership to me...". You look him directly in the eyes, "Fail any of the conditions, and our deal is off the table... This video will go viral... your career will be over, and Cassidy will appeal that divorce case against your presidential friend, with full media attention!".

The lawyer looks at you, defeated. "Deal" he says.

With that you leave, and you make sure to leave your details with his assistant on your way out.

As you get out in the street you quickly get in a taxi with Cassidy.

Once in the taxi, Cassidy gives you a very passionate kiss and says, "Let's go to your place, I'm soo horny!"
