Semblance

He has put in the time, effort, secrecy, research, and concentration. After, his test trials on his sister team RWBY's mascot corgi Zwei had failed he had lost hope reaching an even greater low of self disappointment. But upon entering his bleakest despair he found the darkest hope. When said corgi jumped on his lap to cheer him up tail wagging.

Jaune placed his hand on Zwei in appreciation and in his state of powerful emotion of failure he saw Zwei become stiff almost frozen. "Oh c'mon don't just stop trying to cheer me all of a sudden." With no response he sighed picking up the black and white fuzz then placed him back down only for him to become a barking alarm again jumping on him and licking. Grabbing him again after the shock thinking the dog is messing with him the dog once again fell silent and still not even starring at Jaune.

This time he put the dog back in team RWBY's dorm where he went Nora mode scratching at the door and laid on his bed. Grabbing the sides of his head in frustration it all slipped away as he saw the world more clearly, heard much more beyond the room, and even felt the slight change in temperature from his heavy breathing.

This gaining his interest he retrieved the Zwei and had placed his hand on the dogs head once more putting the him a calm and dazed state. He removed his hand again seeing Zwei bounce back and energetic as usual. His hand back on Zwei to no affect and began shakin his hand Zwei rolled over for more pets Jaune reached down and placed his hand on his head once again becoming motionless. Giving an order the dog followed perfectly but only what would be expected of a family pet but ones that Zwei had previously never done for Zwei not even mention of the vet caused any discomfort.

He had unlocked his semblance.

This semblance one that while near useless alone allowed him to boost others. While helpful to others when used precisely he could enhance specific attributes such as hearing, vision, touch, and even emotion. With this support power can make a subject more open to his hypnosis persuasion. He used the remainder of his first year to forge and refine these skills now to put it in action. Of course he couldn't just hypnotize any and every person he wanted so simply he had to spend time on each one. Though, unlike Zwei people required more effort given being more complex creatures and not as trained to follow orders. People will require him to use some of his hypnosis skill for indefinite and stronger effects giving him relief that all his research was not for waste.
