Trying to explain things

“Ohh this is getting awkward.” Toga teased.

“SHUT THE HELL UP.”

“Ren?” Izuku asked, ignoring how Toga was silenced in an instant.

“Izuku beloved.” You said moving towards him, shaking with fear. Legs quaking. You could feel the shock slipping into despair. He wasn’t supposed to see you like this, “what are you doing here?”

“I came when I heard of the fight, about Toga replicating a major quirk user. But I didn’t believe it was you,.” He said, slowly, “how are you doing this?”

“I-I.” You felt your heart freeze, your face turn pale. You couldn’t let this happen. What will you do? He couldn’t know the truth, you could feel the crushing weight of your fate falling on you.

“Ren did you lie?”

“No.” You all but shouted, but even that simple lie caused your heart to break, “I mean maybe.”

“So what is your quirk? Your real quirk? I won’t judge.”

That sincerity, that smile, it made your heart melt. You couldn’t tell him the truth, you couldn’t lose him.

“It’s mostly the same as before, but when I look into someone’s soul I can replicate their quirks.” She lied, even as it broke her heart to do so. Izuku’s eyes widened, with that ever wonderful curiosity that shattered you.

“Does-does that mean quirks are connected to souls? How does that work? Does that mean when All for One takes quirks he’s also taking souls? How many quirks do you have? What are they?” He mumbled with stars in his eyes, “and why didn’t you tell me?”

“Oh Izuku,” you cried, it was all falling apart now, but he couldn’t know the truth. His hero heart wouldn’t take it, but what lie could you tell now?

There was one, “I was afraid you would think I was like All for One. That I was related to him or that I was working for him in some way.”

“Are you?”

“Of course I’m not, I’m only loyal to you Izuku.” You assured him, your voice filled with desperation.

“Then you didn’t need to lie to me Ren. You know it’s kinda cool to know I have a hot, super powerful girlfriend.” Izuku admitted.

The relief you felt simply overwhelmed you, it was welling up and threatening to burst out.

“Izuku.” You cried leaping into his arms and holding yourself into his chest, tears of joy running down his chest.

“You know Ren we could do so much with this power. We could spar with each other and help each other train.” He babbled you smiled.

“Yes.” You whispered, “I would like that.”

“So that’s how you were able to give me that analyse ability. It’s a quirk isn’t it?” Izuku asked, hugging you tight.

“Yes.”

“Ren?”

“Yes?”

“Have you ever thought about being a hero?” Izuku asked.

“Would you like me to be a hero Izuku?” You asked, heart freezing. What would it be like to be a hero?

“I want whatever you want Ren but I think you’d make an amazing hero.”

“I’ll consider it.” You admit, still pressing yourself into him. For a while you just let yourself fall into his embrace, happy and satisfied.

“Now what should we do with Toga?”
