Faith checks on Alexa

Faith felt concerned as her sister didn’t leave her room. She wasn’t sure what had happened, but she assumed it wasn’t anything good. Faith excused herself and Hailey nodded. “Go see her,” she said. “I think she needs you now more than ever.”

Faith left her friends and headed for Alexa’s room. Before she even reached the door, she could hear muffled sobs coming from her room. Faith felt her heart breaking as she approached the door and knocked softly. “A-Alexa, I’m coming in,” Faith said softly.

She received no answer as she only heard the sobs. She opened the door and found Alexa laying on her bed, crying. Faith sat on the other side of her and wrapped her arms around her sister’s body, cradling her like a mother would her child. “Lexi, w-what happened?”

Alexa only continued to cry. “M-my f-friends...” she managed to say.

Faith then understood what Alexa was trying to say. “Oh God, Lexi. I... I’m sorry. I should’ve done something. I should’ve... I’m so sorry. Lexi, please. Please talk to me.”

Alexa managed to lift her head and look at Faith. Her eyes were red and puffy, snot was running down her nose. Her hair was an absolute mess. Faith grabbed some tissues and handed them to Alexa. Alexa wiped her nose and blew it. She then tossed them into the trash can next to the bed and sat up. She then sighed. “Amy she... she made me... drink from a bottle... which made me... mess myself... then she took me into the park where my friends were hanging out including Ryan, and she... she... she left me alone with them. They l-laughed at me. T-teased me. Stella asked Ryan if he would ever d-date me... and he said no he’d never... and then they made me drink more from the bottle which made me fill up the diaper even more. But not before putting a second one on to stop the leaking. To top it off, Amy changed me right there in front of them. Faith, my life is ruined. My friends think I’m a joke. My crush hates me. My family thinks I’m pathetic. I... I don’t know what to do, Faith. I... I wish... nevermind. I just... I kept this a secret for this exact reason. I felt ashamed, embarrassed, and now my s-secret is out there and I... I still feel embarrassed and ashamed and lost and... and I don’t know.”

Faith felt tears forming in her eyes. “Oh my God, Lexi,” she said. “First, I don’t think you’re pathetic at all. You hear me? I don’t. You are beautiful and smart and capable and Ryan is a moron. I can’t believe Amy did all of that to you. I’m so sorry, Lexi. Lexi, things will get better. I promise you. I know right now, right now is probably the worst you’ve ever felt, but I’m here for you, Lexi. I will ALWAYS be here for you. I’m not going anywhere. And I need my big sister to be here for me as much as I want to be here for you. I can talk to mom. I can make her understand what’s happening. I’ll protect you from Amy. As best as I can. I promise you. Nothing she has on me is as bad as how she’s treated you.”

“Thank you, Faith,” Alexa said as she wrapped her arms around her sister. “Thank you.”

“Come hang out with us. With my friends, please. We all want to be here for you,” Faith said. “I know it’s embarrassing, but we want to make you feel better about the circumstances. Please, Lexi.”
