The decision to talk to Magnus was almost made for him. MagnusHad called a couple of days later inviting him out. “Come on,” he had persuaded “I feel like I’m ignoring you while spending all this time with Chloe. Lets go and have a quiet drink and catch up.” Sean nervously agreed and they headed out for a pub meal and a couple of pints straight from Sean’s work.

It didn’t take long for nerves to be replaced by good conversation, reasonable food and good beer. For a time Sean forgot all about asking him to help with exploring this fetish of his. As the food was gone and the glass running dry Sean became very aware that if he wanted to ask Magnus then this was the time.

He went quiet as he thought of how to approach the subject but Magnus picked up on his change of mood. “What’s up? You look like something’s on your mind” he asked.

Sean took a deep breath “There is,” he said and he began to explain his feelings about what had been going on. To Magnus credit he sat and listened with no sign of ridicule or judgment on his face. “So I guess I’m asking, would you take it further with Chloe and help us work this obsession of mine out?” Sean concluded.

Magnus looked at him for a moment and let out a big sigh “Are you sure?”

“I think so.”

Magnus gave a mirthless chuckle and took a drink of his pint “I’m going to need more than I think so. This is kind of a big thing you are asking.”

“I know and honestly I’m not sure but that is kind of why I want it to be you. We both know you and I know I could tell you to stop or it should never happen again and you would be cool with it. Plus you keep making out with her so you are kind of almost there.”

Magnus gave a warmer chuckle this time “I suppose you are right.” He went quiet and thought for a moment “Okay, I’ll do it.” Sean was about to jump in with thanks but Magnus cut him off before he could “Promise me you will be honest with me. If you don’t like what’s happening or what happens then you must tell me. I’m not throwing away our friendship over this. I just got you guys back in my life and I realised I missed having good friends.”

Sean’s heart was in his mouth. He was excited and nervous and touched by Magnus’s words “Yea dude. I promise and thanks.”

Magnus’s serious expression broke and he gave him a smile “I’m going to get another round in, then you can tell me how you want this to go down.
