Chapter 3 by Ben Rosewood Ben Rosewood

Who's having issues at the front desk?

Morgan, a friend of one of the bridesmaids

Before Kyall left, Alexa checked the hallway to ensure it was void of anyone who could stumble onto their scandalous affair. Once the coast was confirmed clear, Kyall rushed to the elevator and went down to the lobby. There, he found a slender blonde woman with short hair and blue eyes. She was talking with the receptionist, who said "I'm sorry Miss Karsada, but it appears there's been a booking error."

Kyall approached. "Are you here for the wedding?"

Miss Karasda turned to Kyall. "Yes. Are you?"

"Yeah, I'm one of the groomsmen, Kyall. What's the issue?"

"Well, apparently there's a booking issue of some sort."

Kyall turned to the receptionist. "You sure there isn't a spare room?"

The receptionist looked down to her monitor. "I'll have another check, but I'm pretty sure we're all booked out."

"Well, I mean, I'm sure worse comes to worst you could stay in someone elses room."

To Kyall's surprise, Morgan smiled at him and asked "Like yours?"

"Well, uh, sure... If you don't mind."

"Not at all."

"You sure? We might have a room..." The receptionist interjected.

"It's fine."

"Right. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Morgan nodded before following Kyall to the elevator. As it climbed, Kyall said "So, are you one of Alexa's friends?"

"No. Actually I'm friends with Melissa."

"Oh okay. How do you know each other?"

"Co-workers." Morgan said. "What about you?"

"I'm the brother of the groom."

"Uh huh."

"You know, we were just about to start the rehearsal dinner. If you wanna come down and have something to eat, you're more than welcome."

"Oh that'd be great. Do I need to get dressed up?"

Kyall took a second to take in the blonde beauty in front of him, wearing a purple turtleneck and figure-hugging jeans that showed off the curves she still managed to pack on a slender frame. "Oh we're keeping it casual, so you'll fit right in."

"Great."

The two head to Kyall's room, in which he hoped he hadn't left any signs of his lurid affair. The last thing he needed was a lawyer whispering in his brother's ear, ready to cash in on the situation, and from what little he knew about Melissa, he knew she'd be a right bitch about it all. Luckily for him, Morgan just dumped her bags and said "Alright, we better not keep anyone waiting, right?"

"I suppose not."
