Meeting of two houses
"She suggested that you date someone from the Slytherin house," said Hermione in disbelief. We were all in the Prefect bathroom on the fifth floor. I guess they met here regularly.
"And that we Patil sisters are somehow not good enough for Idius," said Parvati. Parvati and her sister exchanged glances, before quickly looking away from each other.
"Wasn't Ms. Celeste a Gryffindor," said Ron, "why would she suggest a girl from Slytherin?" My only guess was that knowing the history of my family, she may have thought they would like that better.
"It's certainly odd," said Harry, "good job Idius." I was stunned honestly. Looking around at the others to make sure I hadn't heard that all wrong. Hermione put her hand on my shoulder.
"Yes," said Hermione, "everything went wrong today. Whose fault that is doesn't matter." Parvati and Padma were avoiding eye contact with everyone now.
"Idius did a bit of improvising, and was able to keep the plan on task. I'm just going to have to adjust some of the plans for." She looked to Padma. "Logistical reasons." I still didn't know what the plan was, but they weren't openly talking about any of it.
"This is how everyday will be," said Harry, "we are going to have to adjust to things we cannot foresee. And us all knowing the plans ahead." I began to laugh when he said this, but nobody else seemed to find that funny. Now Harry Potter was looking at me like I was crazy. "We know it's only going to get worse. I fully expect some detentions, and meetings with Professor Dumbledore." All the Ravenclaws huffed at his name, which seemed an insult to the Gryffindors. But they had never lost a House Cup because that bastard decided to give free points to Gryffindor on the last day.
"I just," said Harry, "I just want you all to know that I know the sacrifice you are making with this plan." That was, nice. Who knew the Boy Who Lived was such a nice guy. What a leader! "Now, get some sleep. We have a lot of work ahead."
Potter was the first one to leave. Before I could make my exit...
"Idius," said Hermione, "can I speak with you before you leave." Padma and Parvati looked like they wanted to speak to me.
"Alone," said Hermione, "please?" Padma and Parvati reluctantly left, each one keeping distance from the other.
And then it was only two. Just me and Hermione. Who still hadn't said a word as she stared at me.
"How romantic," said Moaning Myrtle. Okay maybe there was another in here.
