A new life

The news came just the other day, and still I have no real idea of what I'm doing. A letter arrived and only said that I have been given a house after a old relative passed away. Strangely enough, I've never heard of him. Apparently, from a few other family members, I learned that he was a very secluded man and never interacted with the family much. It is still strange that I was chosen to inherit the estates, but with him having no heirs, I guess it had to be someone. But why me?

The taxi arrived early, and I had already packed everything for the trip, soon I was off to discover this new adventure, and whatever it held for me. The trip took only a few hours. The house was very secluded indeed, and as it turns out, much of the land in these mountains was owned by this great uncle of mine as well. Probably why it seemed so empty up here, but where a house could be in a place covered in trees and forest, I wasn't sure.

I arrived at the house, and to my astonishment, I saw before me not just a house, but a mansion. The building wonderfully built to be surrounded by the trees, keeping it hidden from everyone, all except who knew where to find it it seemed. I took my bags and paid the Taxi driver, seeing him off, I took up my bags...
