Who Gets the Advantage?
Hannah
I was feeling confident as we moved in on each other. Everything was secured and Nikki wasn’t going to throw me off my game this time. I refused to be scared of her anymore. And I was angry.
We met each other and I latched onto her hair. I gripped my fingers and pulled. She tried to return the favour, but I cranked up the pressure and forced her on the defensive.
I was driving her back towards a tree when I let go and hit her across the cheek with a wicked hit. The blow staggered her.
I didn’t waste any time and threw myself into her, knocking her to the ground. Her legs flew up in the air as she folded up. I was already thinking about stripping her, but she seemed to read my mind as she quickly rolled away. No, I had to weaken her before I could get an opening.
“Alright.” Nikki sounded pissed. “We’ll see about that.”
“I’m not going to rollover again, I mean it.”
Nikki rubbed the side of her face. “If you’re so confident why don’t we raise the stakes a little?”
“What?”
“Winner gets to have their way with the loser. No running away.”
I scoffed at that idea. “Please, Nikki, I’m going to win. Don’t make it worse on yourself.”
Nikki raised an eyebrow. “Do you agree or not?”
“Deal. Whatever you say, Nikki.”
I didn’t know what that really meant, but I could imagine. I knew I was really committing to this even more than before now, but I was going to win. I was determined to, and Laura had taught me everything about where I’d gone wrong before.
Nikki was going to regret making that deal.
