A few seconds passed by as the dullness of Millia's eyes faded, and suddenly, recognition kicked in. She was in a strange new place and in front of her was a slimegirl different from Freya.

Stunned, Millia didn't know whether she was paralyzed from the shock of the revelation, or because she was still possessed by Freya. Possibly both. "What do you mean you're my Papa?"

"Your mother's name is Lilliana, yes?"

Millia nodded slowly and that made Ahava's smile even wider. Her translucent cheeks nearly rose to her eyes, "Your mother and I...we're mates. I carried you in my arms when you were born."

A bit of hope rose in Millia's heart against her volition. Maybe Ahava would let her go, maybe even **** Freya out of her. Her biggest mistake was allowing herself to hope.

"So I want to see her again, and I'm going to use you to get to her."

Those words caused Millia's heart to drop into her stomach, where the body stealer lay.

In an act of defiance, Millia raised mana in her palms and pushed Ahava away from her.
