Chapter 2 by Artican Artican

Who is in the Limo?

Janet Van Dyne

“Sue!” the svelte brunette cried out as she stepped out of the limo.

“Janet!” Sue replied, arms outstretched to greet her friend, Janet Van Dyne AKA The Wasp. After their embrace and kisses to the cheeks, Susan admired her friend. “You look gorgeous as always!” Janet was in a slinky, strapless, chevron striped dress that accentuated her curves. As a former fashion designer, she was always wearing something chic or avantgarde.

“Same to you!” Janet replied. “Ready to paint the town?”

“Where are we off to?” Susan asked.

“First lunch, then a surprise!” Janet said. “Hop in!”

Sue climbed into the limo, followed by her friend and they sped off to Janet’s favorite bistro. In the car, Janet poured out some drinks and offered one to Susan

“This early?” Susan asked, waving her hand at the offer.

“Might as well start now,” Janet laughed, “Let your hair down a little, today is going to be our day off!”

Susan looked at the drink, then to her friend. She gave an impish grin and took the glass. Janet smiled and they clinked their glasses. “To our day off!” Susan toasted.

“Cheers to that!” Janet replied, taking a good sip of her drink.

“You know, Janet, I have to thank you,” Susan told her comrade after finishing half her glass, “I think I really needed this! Back home… Reed… he just… agh!” Sue mimed pulling other hair.

Janet smiled and put a hand on her friend’s leg. She told her, “Sue, I know what it’s like. You’re not the only one that’s been married to a career minded intellect.”

“Aww,” Sue responded, leaning her shoulder into Janet. “Thanks. How’s life with you?”

The two spent their limo ride enjoying some pre-lunch drinks and catching up with each other. As superheroines, they had plenty of superheroic adventures to share, along with gossip. Who’s flirting with whom, heroes AND villains. Their banter bled into their lunch, where their gab turned towards costumes and how tacky most of them were.

“I swear, it’s like people think they can put on a halloween costume and that makes them a superhero!” Janet huffed.

“Well, not all of us can be fashion savvy like you,” Susan mused. “An outfit for every super occasion!”

“One has to be prepared!” Janet light heartedly tutted. “Anyways, if I had your powers, I wouldn’t even bother wearing an outfit!”

Susan raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

“Well, if you could turn invisible, why would you even need to wear clothes?”

Susan’s cheeks flushed red. “I never even!”

“But you could and no one would be the wiser!” Janet grinned like a cheshire cat.

“Well, I suppose,” Susan thought about it, “But I’d have to return visible at some point…”

“Well, if you truly are an altruistic hero you’d save the day and be gone without anyone even knowing you were there!”

Susan scoffed, “I suppose you’re right!”

“I remember one time I walked into a mugging in my civvies, not laced with pym particles, and I jumped into action without a second thought! I shrank down and slugged him in one swoop! I popped back to normal size a second later, buck naked!” Janet laughed, “Much to the surprise of the old lady I was saving!”

Sue giggled, trying to hold it down with a swig of her drink. “What did the lady say?”

“Hah, that’s the best part,” Janet giggled, “She goes, ‘I think that punch was enough, dear…you didn’t have to knock him out with your looks!’”

The pair burst out in laughter.

“What did you do then?!” Susan had to know.

“I just grabbed my clothes and went small with them and flew away! Zipped to a rooftop to get dressed, I could not look that lady in the face!” Janet answered with a weak sigh, barely recovered from the laughter.

“Oh my goodness! I couldn’t bear to have that happen to me!” Susan sighed as well.

“Oh come on! You’re telling me that’s never happened?” Janet prodded.

“Nope. Never!”

Janet narrowed her eyes at the mother. Sue shook her head defiantly. Janet sighed, “You’re just too wholesome!” The fashionista finished her drink and set it on the table. “You ready for the next part of our adventure?”

“Where to next?” Susan asked with anticipation.

“You’ll see!” Janet smiled.

The limo took the ladies uptown where they exited in front of Van Dyne Boutique.

“You have a store now?!” Susan asked in surprise.

“Grand opening!” Janet announced proudly. “Well, pre-grand opening! You get to be my very first customer!”

“I’m honored!” Sue replied.

They were greeted by someone who appeared to be a customer service rep but looked like a model. She was tall and slender with pale, unblemished skin. Her red hair was tied up in a ponytail and her named tag read ‘Brenda’.

“Welcome, Ms. Van Dyne,” Brenda greeted with a bow.

“Hello, Brenda! This is Susan, treat her like a VIP!” Janet told her worker.

“Of course,” Brenda replied, then turned to Sue. “Welcome Susan, can I offer you something to drink?”

“Thank you, but I think I’ve had enough for today!” Sue replied. She was feeling a bit tipsy from their afternoon drinking.

“Have a look around Sue, all these are my designs!” Janet told her friend. “You can have your choice of outfit on me!”

“Oh, I wouldn’t know what to pick,” Sue admitted, “Why don’t you pick out something for me? You’re the one with the eye for fashion!”

“Of course!” Janet said happily. “You wait in the dressing area and I’ll be right back!”

A few minutes later, Janet returned with an armload of dresses. Susan delighted in playing dressup with her friend. The dresses Janet chose for her were form fitting and glamorous, nothing she would feel comfortable with wearing on a typical day.

“Hmm... “ Janet mused.

“What is it?” Susan asked, suddenly self conscious about modeling in a long slit gown with a low hanging v-neck.

“Your underwear, take them off!” Janet said.

“What?” Sue replied, covering herself reflexively.

“You can’t get the proper look with your panty line showing under the dress slit!” Janet explained.

“But this is just a try-on, I’d never really wear this…” Susan protested.

“Sue, it’s just you and me, if you’re not going to do it now, you never will!” Janet told her friend. “Trust me, this gown looks best with no underwear!”

Susan sighed. Her friend was right. She was basically alone in the store, no one was going to see and she did want to see how the dress looked on her properly. It sparkled under the spotlights, like a movie starlet’s gown. She looked at Janet and said with a smirk, “This was why you’ve been plying me with drinks all afternoon!”

“You caught me!” Janet chuckled.

Still staring a hole into the fashion mogul, Sue reached under the skirt and dragged down her cotton white panties, slipping them to the floor. She kicked them aside with her foot. She felt a shiver as she was suddenly naked under the already revealing gown.

“Now, give it a twirl!” Janet suggested.

Susan looked into the full length mirror and spun around. She admired the view. She could be mistaken for a princess in this outfit.

“How does it feel?” Janet asked.

“Like a million bucks!” Sue replied.

“Well, maybe a quarter of that…” Janet muttered. “It’s yours!”

“Wait…” Susan said, “This dress costs… two hundred… and fifty.... Thousand dollars?!”

“Those sequins aren’t cheap,” Janet smirked.

“Oh, Jan… I can’t accept this…” Susan sputtered.

Just then, a trill alarm went off. Janet checked her phone. A holographic image came up that displayed the front of the store. Brenda was there with someone else.

“I’m sorry but we are not open to the public,” Brenda said.

“That’s fine, I’m here for a private meeting…” the unwelcome quest responded. It was a large built man but the camera did not pick up his face.

“If you would like to schedule a meeting, I can take your name and…” Brenda’s words were cut off when the man grabbed her by the throat.

Back in the dressing room, Janet looked to Sue. “I’ll be right back.”

“I’m with you,” Sue said.

“Not in that thing,” Janet replied, “It’s expensive!”

Before Susan could respond, The Wasp had already shrunk down and flown out to the main room. Susan caught the action on the holo.

“Unhand her!” Wasp called out, shooting out a wasp sting at the assailant to loosen his grip. The man fell back, dropping Brenda. “Brenda get back!”

Brenda ran to the back room as Janet returned to normal size to face off with the attacker. “Who are you and what are you doing in my store?!” Janet asked, not amused.

“I came here for you, actually,” the man replied, standing up and straightening himself up.

“Well, you picked the wrong way to go about it!” Janet replied, charging up for another wasp sting. The man grinned and opened his coat. Underneath were electronics that lit up. Janet shot and the chest device flashed, then shot back at her, knocked her out. “Target acquired.” the man said in a monotone voice.

From the dressing room, Susan knew she had to do something. Then, she remembered the dress. Not only was it super expensive, it was constricting and would hamper her movements. She took it off. Good thing she was still half drunk. She went invisible and went in after her friend.

How does Sue help Janet?
