After running his clothes through the drier, Shuichi went back to his apartment and began doing everything he could to look good for his date with Kae. Shuichi dropped his convertible off at the closest parking garage and took a bus back into the red light district.

“She?” Usami blinked in surprise. “Oh, I know who you’re talking about! Come right this way!”

Usami turned around and began hopping cheerily through the restaurant, and Shuichi did his best not to stare at her cute rear as she went. “P-pretty good, all things considered,” Shuichi said, sitting down in the seat across from Kae. “I mean, these last few weeks have been kind of strange, but I guess it could be a lot worse.”

“That’s the spirit!” Usami cheered as she handed Shuichi and Kae their menus. “Your waitress will be with you in just a moment to take your orders! Please, enjoy your stays, and have a hop-tastic day!”

“Thank you, we will,” Shuichi said as Usami bounced away. “Thanks for hanging out with me today, Kae. I hope I didn’t interrupt anything in your schedule.”

“Don’t worry, it was no trouble at all! If anything, I should be thanking you; I needed an excuse to come here and give myself a little extra time off,” Kae said as she opened her menu. “So, what do you think of the Bunny Hop? “Solidarity?” Shuichi blinked in surprise. “With who?”

“With the waitresses, of course!” Kae remarked. “The girls here have to work all day serving food and flirting with men, any one of whom might try harassing them. And for a lot of these women, this might be their first job ever! So, I like to go to restaurants like this to both support their businesses and give them a friendly and understanding face to serve! Plus, I also… uh…”

“Well… I heard that there’s a new show about a space bounty hunter that came out recently that looks pretty good,” Shuichi noted. “It’s supposed to be fun, action-packed, and touching all at the same time.”

“I’ve seen a few episodes of that one, actually; it’s pretty amazing,” Kae enthusiastically answered. “I recommend starting it now if you haven’t already. You wouldn’t believe how adorably cute baby-”

“Very well then.” Their purple-haired hare wrote down their orders on a notepad and stored it behind her right ear. “Give us just a moment and we’ll get it out to you as soon as we can.”

“Thank you, miss.” Shuichi bowed to the waitress and turned back to Kae. “So, how is Komaru doing? Has she fully adjusted to her new life as a sex worker?”

“You know what?
