Jack, Kat and Kuhn make for an interesting conversation.

You wake up to the relentless beep of your cell phone. . . beep, beep, beep. Reaching over to the night table, you fumble with the thing until it stops. Then it's time to stagger out of bed, throw your robe on and order breakfast. You grab your phone and hit up the delivery app. A mixed potato breakfast bowl and a large coffee get chosen and you wander out to the living room. You plop down on the couch, turn on some HGTV, and wait for food.

A young black girl is there with your order about 35 minutes later. She's probably a regular at the college. You know so many that seem to make a career out of taking classes and doing gig jobs like this. You tip her and take your stuff to the desk. The bowl settles your stomach and the coffee wakes you up just fine. Then you wander over and set the laptop up for the secure video. You'd prefer to skip Kuhn today but there are too many questions on your mind. Sinching the robe up tightly, you give your agent a call. He appears on the video screen in the middle of the first ring. He's wearing a white tank top and sipping some coffee. The lucky bastard looks wide awake, you think. Damn morning people!

"Walker here."

"Hey, boss. What's up?"

"In a big hurry to collect up another assignment?"

You yawn, "Not really. I actually have a few kinda related stuff to ask about."

He sips his coffee and nods.

"That's part of my job. Shoot!"

"K. I have a friend who might be interested in hooking up with the company. Are there any guidelines or rules I need to know?"

"Well if your friend is half the draw you are, it sounds like a great idea. The normal way in is through a casting. Brett Branich handles them in your area, I believe you two are acquainted. After the session is complete, he'd make the call. If he thinks she's a good pickup, he'll trigger the email send and instruct the driver to hand over a package. I don't think I need to go any deeper, you've been through this. As for rules, there'll be a quick records check before the email gets sent. No felonies or violent incidents on their record and the referral from the recruiter is pretty much it. I'll mail you a link to his casting schedule page. If you want to talk to him communicate directly, you can get his number from the page or email him through the company server. He'd be in your associate's tab in the address book."

You nod, "Cool. That's something for me to think about. The second topic, I have an outside job offer."

He cocks an eyebrow, "Really?"

"Yep. I think we discussed my casting a few times. There was an outside guy who paid a pretty penny to join in. Well, Jack sent me an email at my private account asking me to contact him over a business proposition."

"Give me a sec."

You can hear Kuhn tapping away at a keyboard off camera. You take the opportunity to finish off the breakfast bowl and half your coffee. A couple of minutes later, he looks back into the camera.

"Ok. I don't have access to his records since I don't have an offer on file but I do have Brett's write-up from your casting. His name is Jack Schaffer. He owns the bookstore we have a contract with to use the basement twice a month for casting. It's a good deal. Renting space for a porn shoot can be hard in a lot of places we don't have an escort presence in. According to the notes, Mr. Schaffer offered $2k to join in and the email request was received before you submitted your questionnaire. He was pretty eager to make your acquaintance. You got 75% of course as is standard, Brett collected 5% and FireBox got the rest."

"Interesting. Do you know anything else?"

"Well doing a quick member look up, he's only a tier 1 member so he can't place any official requests for your time except through Client Communications. Want me to give him a call?"

"Sure that seems the best way to handle it. If he contacts me again?"

"We don't own you, Simone. You can chat with him if you want but if it gets back that you actually accepted a job from him on the side, things can get bad. Termination, forfeiture of any fees he paid, or simple probation are all possible outcomes. I'd recommend waiting to see what I come up with when I talk to him."

"Got it, bossman. That's all I have. I need to get a couple of things taken care of before I schedule up some work."

"Fair, girl. You've three jobs in the books in about a week. No one is going to harass you if you drop off the work roster for a bit."

You smile, "Thanks, Walker. See ya!"

"Kuhn out."

He hangs up and you shut the program down. Breakfast has made you feel a bit better but you really have to decide what to do next. It's crunch time on the school decision. You have the rental until 1 pm. That probably goes out the window if you decide to meet with the professor first. You could check with Kat and see what interest she might have. Or just write today off and relax. It's time to make a decision though.
