Aurora stared on at the humans who had helped her. The siblings. The hurricane of emotional conflict flashed across her entire body. Disgust, confusion, the question of their relationship, guilt, and even a hint of relief. She stood there, staring back at them in silence as her mind processed.
That was something they'd done a lot of in the shower yesterday. It was certainly sexual. Were they now pursuing a relationship? That would be unnatural, and entirely disturbing. Is that okay here?
No. If it were, they'd never have fallen into the turmoil they did over it. So what? Would they keep it secret? Did they want her involved? Could she be okay with that? What a mess.
At least, she finally decided, if this is the case...they're not getting rid of her, right? Survival had to take precedence. She couldn't go back to her assigned home...so for now, if it meant staying here, she would have to be okay with it. Disgust shimmered across her torso, following the saliva she swallowed to **** a smile. Acceptance danced across her forehead, only because she focused on staying here more than the scene she'd witnessed. She turned stiffly and walked into the kitchen, distracting herself with a cup of coffee. Maybe sleeping through the day would be best, even if she's been shocked out of depression by...this.
