It turns out that in this new reality Billy's father was an alien. John couldn't help but delve deeper into Threadsight to find out exactly how the world had been twisted.

Billy was conceived that night as his alien father blasted his mother's womb with fertile sperm, creating a human-alien hybrid.

John was amused that the twist had created something out of the X-files, and probed deeper to see just what new abilities Billy possessed.
