You didn't expect the Mind Mime

"Actually, there is at least one Legionnaire that you couldn't have been eavesdropping on, Miss Adventure," Hyperion said with a sudden smirk.

"What do you mean?" you say. "I hear everything!"

Then you notice the superheros are smiling and looking behind you. You turn in trepidation, your enhanced hearing not giving you a clue to what's there.

It's the Mind Mime. The grinning, white-painted face gives you the shivers. The skin-tight black unitard the well-hung mime is wearing makes your X-ray vision superfluous. You turn back to the Justice Legion in outrage.

"But he's a villain!" you protest, trying to keep the fear out of your voice. "He's not a member of the Legion!"

"He's reformed!" says Tiny Girl with a giggle. "We hire reformed villains all the time!"

"This is bullshit!" you say. "I'm not joining any group that has a mind-controlling mime."

You raise your right fist in the air and lift off, intent on smashing through their ceiling as you fly away. You don't make it 2 feet off the ground before you slam into an invisible **** field and crumble back to the floor in an undignified heap. You glare at the Mind Mime who smiles silently back at you. You lunge at him, ready to knock that smile off his pasty-white face. You hit an invisible wall. Your invulnerability keeps it from hurting, but you feel like a fool. It doesn't help that all the Justice Legion is laughing at you now.

You know it's a mistake, but your anger makes you lunge at Hyperion. This time, the wall you encounter isn't an immovable ****. It yields, stretches, then snaps back, sending you careening, bouncing from wall to wall, from floor to ceiling. until you finally come to rest, your cape draped over your head, your legs and arms sprawling in a most unladylike fashion.

You groan in frustration. All that strength and you can't break out of this invisible box! Your strength is meaningless because the box isn't real. The damned mime is in your head!
