I got back the flat with about a minute to spare. I found gemma at the kitchen table with her bag, it looked pretty equal to mine from what I could tell. This was gonna be close.

I think I may have made a mistake. We pored our stuff onto the floor and despite the fact that I clearly had more items than Gemma did, about 2/3rd of them were sweets which we did a blanket value of 10p each. Quickly sorting them into piles of rough value, my hopes got up when I realised that I had actually struck big on the Nando's voucher I got, was for a free meal for 2, at least £20. that accounted for the same value as all my sweets combined. After going through all the other things my grand total came to £56.30 of value according to our system, not bad. Gemma was only at £40.20 but still had a couple of items left to go, I felt hope rise within me. She placed her last item down a box of condoms and gave me a wink. A quick search revealed them to be worth about £8. Gemma's pile totalled £52.20. I actually won!

Me: 'oo I cant wait to see what's in store for the loser'
