I should really hash things out with Maddie.

I worked Sunday night and then spent the following Monday by myself. It’s a day of normal domestic duties as well as some upkeep on myself. Tidy up around the house; cleaning; washing and dishes; finish off my uni work and study as well as get some training in at my gym.

I talk to Min on the phone. She is becoming my near constant companion as we’re talking practically everyday and even if we can’t see each other, we want to. She lets me know that she’s free to come and spend the night at my place on Wednesday and I’m over the moon to hear this. It’s a bit corny, seeing as we’ve been having some freaky and intense sex together but I want to make a proper date night of it. She asks how the rest of my day went with Holly and I give her as close to the full account of it as possible.

Holly messages me on Tuesday and I ask her how things went with Jessica when she finally caught up with her. She tells me that she ended up spending another night at her parents and sister’s house after her and Jessica had a blazing row over her not coming to see her or hearing from her for in excess of 48 hours. I try and tell her I’m sorry for causing an argument with her and Jessica but she won’t hear it. Instead thanking me for the ‘thorough dicking down I gave her’; her words not mine; and that she’ll try and see me again soon when Jessica cools down and she’s in the clear.

The last thing she tells me is to sort out my Min situation. With that in mind I give Maddie a call.

“Heya!” Maddie answers quickly. Her voice bubbly and happy to hear from me it sounds.

“Hey Mads, how are you?” I ask.

“Good. Really good. I’m so glad to hear from you,” she says.

“Aww thank you. So: how was your night with Larissa?” Getting down to the very important details first. “What did you two do?”

I can’t see it but Maddie is blushing profusely on the other end of the line. “Oh my God! It was crazy! She’s crazy!”

“Come on! Give me details,” I almost beg.

“Well she was disappointed you couldn’t join us but I’d never been with a girl before.” I already knew that. “It was amazing!”

“Did you get each other off?”

“Sure. That would be great,” I say relieved.

“Wait. Shoot! I didn’t ask how it went with Min. Thank you for taking care of her the other night,” Maddie tells me feeling a little bit bad for hiding from her best friend like that.

Maddie was right, I certainly took care of Min… “Hey no problem. It was kind of nice just to hang out with Min. I like spending time with her after all. We might do something again this week.” I’m trying to get Maddie used to Min and I spending time together so it doesn’t come as that much of a shock if we do come out as seeing each other again.

“Cool. What about the other night though?”

“Oh, we just hung out and talked for a while. Stayed out a bit later and went and got something to eat in China town,” I say making up an alternate set of events.

“Nice, well I owe you one for that,” Maddie tells me.

We don’t stay on the phone for too much longer after that. She has to check a few things but will get in touch with me later that day if she's free to talk this evening.

It doesn’t actually have to be today so I’m not all that worried if we leave it to another day, still its good when she messages me around 5 that afternoon asking if 9 o’clock would be ok to come around. I let her know that fine by me and I’ll see her there.

I cook dinner for myself and pass the time going over some journals for uni. I jump in the shower and get dressed before driving the roughly ten minutes to Maddie’s house. On the way over I start going over what I want to say to her. As much as it’s been an incredible amount of fun reconnecting like we have, I think it would be best if we stop it before it goes any further. It’s nothing she’s done, of course, I just want to limit myself to sleeping with someone I can see a future with and we both know that we just don’t work when we try dating. Esh! That won’t work. “Ok,” I tell her. The bedroom is probably not the best place for this but Maddie is very determinedly leading the way.

We turn the corner of the house to Maddie’s bedroom and she opens the door, stepping into the room.

“So, ahh, Maddie,” I manage to get out when I see something that stops me short.

Larissa the gorgeous half-Asian hellcat is lying sideways across the bed, clearly expecting me to be led into the room. With a wicked smile on her face, Larissa is wearing nothing besides an almost see-thru black teddy.

Revealing her surprise for me, Maddie explains as she gives me her sexiest pout , “I felt so bad you missed out on all our fun the other night I invited Larissa over to make it up to you.”
