Mud Fish Surprise

Rachael and Felix were walking down the path towards this village that apparently has non-infected Pokémon living there and tending to herbs that can help your sister. It is quite cold outside so Felix and Rachael are both wearing fur coats to keep themselves safe from the cold air. "I hope we can contniue our way to find the soothsayer after this.

The two look around the forest, wanting to make sure that the don't encounter any ambushing ferals lying in wait for them. "Why are you going along with what is essentially a suicide mission?" Felix asked, looking at the Buneary. "You both are the same age and you're younger than me by an age, and he has a little sister with him. What's your drive in helping the Raichu?" The Grovyle asked, adjusting his fur coat.

"Rai is my friend, and if he's going through this mess, I'll be there by his side. Plus the idea of Kate being with him was our idea as she would worry about him. Not the smartest idea, but we'll make it work. As well as..." Rachael takes a deep breath before she gets to the subject. "We both need to solve this as soon as we can for our parents sake..."

Felix eyes opened slightly at that as he did pondered why are they on their own, and he suspected they were eaten and infected. "They turned by the time we've left our home. It's gonna be bad enough that they're gonna be preying on other non-infected, but what else we could do, they're our parents and we love them. Now that we heard that infected Pokémon can turn on their own due to desperation, every day that we don't stop this, is a chance that we may end up orphans after this." she answered. "While we can't rush, we can't waste time either."

Rachael shakes her head to not get too emotional as she takes a deep breath. "Rai may be young, but he's not stupid. This isn't caused by some new virus from a different region or unintended side effect of some medicine. Now we know there's malicious intent. Now we need to find out who this guy is, why he done this, and stop him from accomplishing it and ensure he doesn't do it again..."

"Speaking of which, it's confusing why he lets him go after this? Why not kill him?" Felix asked eating an apple.

"He must be arrogant enough that he doesn't consider him a threat who'll last long, but we'll show him." 'Also probably because if he does that, this would be over sooner, but I digress...'

"Fair enough. What you think about this Vargus guy that was with Rai?"

"Well considering everything we heard about, we can at least give him a chance. If he wanted to do something to him, he would've done something the second he passed out. Same with you considering you could've just finished us off. We do know we can't be too careful with non-infected, but we can't give up on each other."

He nods as they started to noticed the area around them was very quiet, unnaturally quiet. Rachael and Neku started looking around, making sure to keep quiet to hear. Rachael's right ear twitched as she turned to the direction. "Look out!" she cried out as a large ball of mud was shot out as Rachael and Felix moved out of the way of it as the assailant came out from the hiding spot.

They see the attacker was a purple eyed Swampert. They can feel a small quaking from the steps the mud fish had made. Rachael shuddered when it sees the Swampert's mouth salivating at the sight of them. Felix didn't waste time as he launched ahead. The Swampert swung his fist to him who jumped out of the way and slashed him with Leaf Blade.

Despite the 4x damage from Grass type moves, The Swampert doesn't react so much as a wince as he swung his large fist towards the Grovyle who dodged his arm swing. Felix went back to Rachael. "This one won't go down easily." he said to her as they see the Swampert charging at them, fist flowing with power. The two dodged away from the swing that impacted with and broke the tree in from the wide side, making them with a shocked expression. 'In just one attack?! We can't take a direct hit!'

Rachael takes out one of the thorns and threw it at the swampert. It inpacted his sides and looked like it hurt, but the Swampert remained strong. Felix then started firing Bullet Seeds at the Swampert at the same time, he can hear the Swampert cry out in pain but doesn't stop as he summoned a torrent of water to soak both Rachael and Felix and push them back.

Both got up and shake the water off them as Rachael thought about one of her moves, Solar Beam. It was one of the more powerful grass type moves and hopefully can knock it out or at least damage it enough for it to retreat. The problem is that the attack would take time and using sunny day would reveal something's up, so Rachael tried to gather as much sunlight as she could from half the sun hidden by the clouds.

Felix picked up what Rachael was doing and wanted to do as much damage as possible. Felix raised his hands up and a torrent of wind gathered a bunch of leaves into a orb and then it blasted towards the Swampert, an torrent of leaves blasting the Swampert as he used water pulse to knock Felix back.

As the Mud Fish looked at the Grovyle, it doesn't noticed the Buneary around. He thne looked and saw her gathering energy from the sunlight. When he saw this, he charged towards her, arms readying an attack. Rachael...
