BSW Day 5 - Check on Tina

You and Beth carry your food over and sit on Tina's blanket.

"What's wrong?" Beth asks the Canadian girl.

Tina smiles sadly and hands you a piece of paper. It's a roster. You take a look at it.

Karin (JAP) Captain, Striker COACH - Zofia (POL)

ATT Ela (POL)

ATT Red (FIN)

MID Siu (HK)

MID Sanaa (MOR)

MID Syd (USA)

DEF Azu (PER)

DEF Mai (JAP)

DEF Tina (CAN)

DEF Lena (RUS)

GOAL Cheryl (USA)

You don't know most of these girls, just Ela and Tina. And Ela's coach, Zofia... who is also her sister. Zofia is a really tough, stern lady. Obviously Tina is not close to Lena, who can't decide if she's here representing Russia or Bulgaria.

"I don't know anybody," Tina complains. "And Zofia is so hardcore."

So she didn't get the team she wanted, and she is upset. Usually Tina is shy, but she is not shy about this. You take another look at the roster.

"I know Syd. She is amazing. And Cheryl. I've heard of her," you tell Tina. "And you know the others are going to be really good too."

"I just want them to be nice," she sighs. "This is scary, you know?"

Yeah... but you have Beth beside you, and Tina does not have that. That is probably very hard for her.

"Do you want to back out?" Beth asks her.

"No. I can't do it." Tina just looks a bit glum. She adjusts her beanie. "I just wish I was on your team. Or Duni's."

"Who wouldn't want to be on my team?" Beth asks cockily... it's no secret that her team at least appears to be the strongest.

"Don't sleep on Syd," you warn Beth.

"What's she like?" Beth asks.

"She doesn't screw around." Syd isn't hardcore in the tough way that Zofia is, but she is ruthless. "She's not very tall. Black."

"Your type?" Beth asks you dryly.

"I wouldn't kick her out of bed," you say.

"You wouldn't kick anyone out of bed."

"Maybe Lotte," you tell her.

"Maybe Lotte," Beth agrees. "Tina, it will be OK."

"I know." Tina sighs.

"I saw Amy earlier," Beth says. "Let's not worry about it. If we have to go back to work tomorrow, we should use this place while we can."

Tina brightens at that. She just doesn't want to be on her own.

"Let's do that," she says.

You go to the lodge's small spa room, but Amy is not there, and no one knows where she is.

"We can just do it ourselves," Beth tells you.

"Are you sure?"

"She needs this," she says. She's right. Tina needs friends right now. But the spa room only has two tables. One of you will have to play masseuse.

"Who does it?" Beth asks you. "You or me?"
