Mahiru Koizumi

The next day, Hajime left his cottage only to see Mikan sitting outside of it.

"Mikan, what're you doing here?" he asked. She looked at him as he saw bags under her eyes.

"I couldn't sleep," she replied.

"Do you need medicine or something? I'm sure there's medicine somewhere on this island."

"T-That won't help," she said. "I'm f-fine."

Was this because Hajime refused to sleep with her last night? Had she just sat here the entire night, waiting for him to look for her?

"Come on, let's go get some breakfast." Hajime said, lending her a hand. He pulled her up to her feet as they went to the dining hall.

As soon as they arrived, they got their food and sat down next to each other. Almost immediately after sitting down, Mikan fell against his shoulder and began snoring.

"Woah," Hajime said. Some people had their eyes on him, so he just repositioned her in her seat. Almost immediately after pushing her away though, she woke up.

"H-Huh?" she asked. "Did I fall asleep?"

"For like, a second," Hajime replied.

"Have you not been getting sleep?" Chiaki asked, picking up her tray of food and sitting across from them.

"Not really," she said.

"I wouldn't sleep either if I had a pig face like that," Hiyoko said just passing by. Mikan then busted out crying... he probably shouldn't get involved.

He quickly scooped his leftovers into the garbage bin and tossed his tray into the sink.

For now, he needed to get more Monocoins to get the 100-monocoin quota. After looking through the four girls he had with Active triggers, he figured Mahiru's was the most straightforward. He could apologize and get away with anything, it looked like. Then again, he could never be too sure, so he needed to test the waters before jumping right in.

From his introduction to Mahiru, she didn't really seem like the type that was too forgiving. Well, specifically towards other men. If he screwed up, she'd definitely remember it and make a mental note of it.

Hajime decided to wait for Mahiru to be on her own before he did anything.

After breakfast, Hajime followed Mahiru from a distance and found her going into her cabin. Perfect. He cleared his throat and knocked on the door. "Mahiru?"

Mahiru opened the door. "Hajime? What is it?"

He feigned a trip, sending him and Mahiru onto the floor, inside her cabin. Their faces were right on top of each other, and Hajime felt her breasts touch his chest.

"Ow..." she said. "Seriously? You trip while standing completely still? How are you boys supposed to protect the girls if you're this clumsy?"

"It was an accident," Hajime said.

"Actually, the way you said that makes it sound like it's not an accident!"

"Sorry, it was an accident, I swear!"

He noticed a blue flicker in Mahiru's eyes, similar to the one with Chiaki.

"Oh, that's alright," she said. "If it was really an accident, it's fine, don't worry about it."

Hajime stood up as Mahiru stood up as well. That worked, and he had no qualms that it was the trigger that was doing it.

"So, what did you come here to talk to me about?"

"Oh, I just wanted to say that you're a little bitch."

Mahiru scorned. "Oh, oh, you're playing like that? What kind of man talks to a girl that way?"

"Sorry,"

"It's okay!" she said, smiling. "I know you didn't mean it!"

He knew he had to get those Monocoins by any means necessary. He didn't like it, but he had to.

He reached behind him and shut, then locked the door.

"Hajime," she said nervously. "What are you doing?"

He shot up his hand to fondle Mahiru's breasts.

"H-Hajime!" she shouted. He was much stronger than her, so her attempts to stop him were in vain.

He lifted her shirt off her, leaving her in her bra. Then, he undid her bra and tossed them onto the ground.

"Why?" she asked. "Why are you doing this?"

He fondled her breasts for another minute before getting off of her.

"Sorry," he said.

She twitched as she smiled up at him. "Well, if you apologized, that's alright," she said. She covered up her chest, though. "If you have nothing to talk to me about, can you get out now?"

"O-Okay," Hajime said, leaving.

Hajime sat alone in his room. "I can't believe I just did that," he said. "I feel like a criminal." "Well... she forgives you, so it's like it never happened! She remembers it like you bumping into her on accident." Monokuma shouted.

"Uagh! Where are you coming from?"

"Don't worry about that? So, what do you think of the game so far?"

"I hate it!"

"So you would rather have a killing game?"

"No."

"In that case, you better keep playing this Trigger game!" he shouted. "Besides, even if your mouth says you hate it, your lower head loves it and is going to be much more entertained!"

Hajime turned away from him.

"Hey, at least you got 25 Monocoins from that!"

"It's not worth it, morally," he said. "But I can't let anyone else die."

"Well, yeah, you kind of have to! If you want to get past the deadline tomorrow at midnight, then you better use those triggers more!"

"I know, I know," he said. "I still have some time today. I should probably do someone else's and leave one for tomorrow."
