Gym Gossip

Hana stepped into the training room. The facilities Talon provided her were exactly to her expectations, they weren’t fully populated yet, but the revenue from the clubs that she and Widowmaker were running for the worldwide elite was flowing steadily into their accounts allowing them to invest into that.

She looked around the room, it was mostly empty. Similar to a mix of a gym and a dance training room. With simple gym equipment dotted around, some training poles as well as mirrors on the walls with the nicely padded floor.

Regardless, Hana began to stretch, there was still space for improvement for her and she was here to work towards it. She started with her upper body, stretching her arms and warming up her shoulders, aiming to move downwards with her prep.

Not more than five minutes into Hana’s workout, the door slid open and Yuna entered the room, rubbing her eyes sleepily. Just like Hana, Yuna was dressed in yoga pants and a sports bra, both women’s outfits were colored in their iconic colour palettes. Blue and pink for Hana and mix of purple, red and white for Yuna.

“So unlike you to be late and tired in the morning, Yuna.” Hana greeted her friend/rival.

“Ah you know, Master Bob asked me to help him burn some calories yesterday.” Yuna chuckled, yawned again and settled her bag and water bottle, joining Hana in her warmup. “Also I was reading up some boards online, there's something interesting supposedly going in Japan.” She was quick to add, Yuna was a gamer first but also enjoyed some good conspiracy theory to amuse herself before sleeping and this one was quite a doozy.

“Oh? Did they finally rebuild Tokyo after the Omnic Wars? You know what they say, third time’s the charm!” Hana responded while moving down to a seating split, leading the warmup to do some stretching that way.

“Yeah! They did, but that's half of it. Apparently that third Tokyo has some secret military base under it, they are working on some kind of weapon!” Yuna’s excitement grew as she joined Hana on the floor and gave her some assistance whenever needed.

Hana snorted a little. “At least they won't rip us off considering how anti-meka they became after the whole omnic debacle.”

“That’s the thing, the things I was reading were claiming it's something big, like really big.”

“Huh? Shouldn’t we be worried then?” Hana tilted her head, she was used to Yuna’s rambling about her internet deep dives since sometimes her research was better than the work of the Korean intel intelligences. So it was both fun and informative.

“Nah, apparently the Omnium they pushed out of Japan wasn’t destroyed in the crater that was the old Tokyo, instead it fled somewhere into the ocean.” Yuna went into explanation mode before stretching, trying to reach her toes with her fingers.

“Oh, so that’s why they sent so many exploration teams to the south pole over the years?” This time Hana took over with her knowledge, she was making sure that no threat would surprise them and the expeditions were old news. Initially the brass was worried that Japan may make some moves against Korea through the sea.

“Supposedly that's where the Omnium went to hide and rebuild, who knows. The supposed weapon is a big unknown but what they wrote about is quite interesting… Apparently it's somehow biological… That’s all that is known.” Yuna paused, thinking about what she read again, but couldn’t come up with much more.

“Huh, that's weird, it's not like a bio-virus would affect the omnics. And experiments like Winston were already tried and they wouldn’t be the best for the south pole to begin with…” Hana pondered too. She was the more analytical of the two and made sure to make a mental note of the conversation and to keep an eye on news about Japan. Bob may be interested in possible prospects over there.

Yuna knocked herself out of her thoughts and shrugged. “Who knows? Time will tell, it may be something cool.” She got up and moved up to one of the polls. “So what's the result so far, I think we had a tie?”

“Hmmm…” Hana rolled her eyes up while standing up herself and moving to the other pole and looked it up and down. “...I think we were a hundred credits to hundred credits after last night of work together, so yep thats a tie!” She then moved to try a new position wrapping her leg absentmindedly around the pole, focusing on the conversation.

“Good, you always get cocky and get your guard down, just you wait!” Yuna taunted and laughed while climbing the pole gracefully and doing a casual spin, just to get a feel of it.

“It's not like you don’t tilt in the long run!” Hana quipped back.
