Some careful reassurances

“Izuku I don’t want you to get the wrong idea I have been talking to these women yes but I haven’t been harming them or anything” you assure him, carefully watching your words. You couldn't bare to tell him an outright lie but you wouldn't dare to harm his precious hero heart.

"I didn't think that Ren but I'm still concerned on what you're talking these girls into” he said nervously.

"Do you remember what I told you about my quirk Izuku?” You asked “how it works?”

“Yes you can read minds and in some ways their soul. What does that have to do with this?” Izuku asked, eyes wide in concern.

“It means I can read those women. I can see how they really feel below all their insecurities and societal expectations. And I can help push beyond that to their true selfs” you say, hoping that Izuku would accept this. You put on your best acting ability.

“But I don’t understand how this leads to them being so flirty with me.” Izuku pointed out, and you placed a hand on his cheek.

“Because Izuku many of those women wanted someone to love them”

“But why me? Surely you know of other people who can provide them the full attention they deserve instead of just me?” He asked, still thinking about others instead of himself.

“Izuku when I told you about my quirk I told you that you had the purest heart in the world. In truth that was because all other people are awful. I’ve seen into their souls, they’re so evil, toxic and selfish. All except you Izuku, you’re the only one I could love and anyone could truly love” you explain, tears now streaming from your eyes. It was a mix of the truth and lies, for this was truly why you had grown to love him.

“Ren I don’t think people are that bad, but I understand” he said pulling you into a hug “thank you for telling me this”

He was so kind. So perfect. Even now he reassuring her, causing her heart to thump madly. He must have more, but who next. Cautiously her quirk examines his mind to see if there were any others he might want. He deserved more.

One name stuck out: Ochako Uraraka.

A/N: these two chapters were necessary to show that Izuku wasn’t a total idiot, which the story ran the risk of doing. Of course Ren hasn’t learned her lesson (of course)

Anyway Ochako won the vote so we’ll be seeing her join the Deku harem next
