A Persistent Pest...

As soon as you laid back down, Harleen and the others came inside, the latter letting her sit by your side as they stood by the window's wall. "Hi, sweetie..." she greeted quietly. She petted your head softly, smiling at you. "Are you ok?"

"Yeah..." You close your eyes and smiled, too. "You didn't happen to catch the license plate of the meteor that hit me, did you?" She chuckled through her nose as she continued rubbing hand on your head.

"Me and the girls were worried sick about you... Imp got the majority of it, but that fusion cannon got to you, too."

You frowned, gazing up at her first, then looked away from her. "I'm not... sure. He started draining me, like Parasite."

"Parasite? Then..." She smiled as though she was facepalming herself, lightly upon realizing. "No wonder J'onn said that your energy was almost gone. We thought the blast did that to you."

"No..." you smiled. "But I feel as banged up as I probably look." She shook her head with the same smile, confirming that you weren't. You sigh, thinking to yourself: 'Where is that monster now?'

The crater that was left by you and your clone hadn't changed. Except that in Imp's place were faded footprints in the sand. He was walking towards the nearest town, and his injuries seemed to have disappeared as his eyes glowed yellow as he growled softly. He passed a patrol car, its red-and-blue lights flashing as soon as he did. A cop came out and shouted at Imp to stop, shouting it a second time and aiming his pistol at him.

Imp flipped him off!

The cop fired without a moment's notice, but some of his shots just thudded against his skin, succeeding only in getting his attention. He then pointed his finger with his thumb up in a gun fashion, lighting the tip of his index with a green flame! Imp then fired Vigilante's bullet, coated in the flames, and as soon as it hit inside the cop's car, it exploded hugely! He only smirked, seeing the car and policeman burn... "Asshole." And he continued on.
