Running down the hallway

It didn't take long for Edd to find the other two. Eddy came running straight at Double D, holding a pair of lab goggles with Ed right behind him laughing in the typical stupid Ed manner. "Hey sockhead!" Shouted Eddy as he dashed towards Edd.

Since junior high all the Eds had grown quite a bit in height. Edd hit around 5'11 and short Eddy grew to a modest 5'8. The most would be Ed who towered as the tallest in school at 6'3.

Eddy's hair had finally grown out forming a black mop on top of his heat slicked back. He wore a trademark yellow shirt with a red stripe on the side. After years of bullying, Eddy hit the gym hard got some serious gains which were pretty clear as his biceps stretched the sleeves of his shirt. In an attempt to look more grown-up he sports a goatee and always carries a pair of shades in the front pocket of his blue jeans. His work out paid off when he got selected to play in Peach Creek High's Baseball team, something he felt proud of because it let him flirt with the cheerleading squad more.

If Eddy buffed up from hitting the gym, Ed's sheer genes gave him the physique of a monster. All the physical labour around his house made built him so robust he easily made it into the football team. His ginger hair grew out to form a flat top and the baby fat on his face all faded into the face of an athlete with light stubble. His trademark green jacket and striped shirt was replaced by a green letterman jacket along with a graphic tee of a monster movie on the inside. Despite all the maturity in his new look, Ed still remained the idiot he always was constantly failing grades but getting out of it due to being a star athlete.

"Haha Double D, chemistry is fun!" Chuckled Ed in his carefree manner. "Eddy was showing me some cool experiments"

"Hey Double D, remember how you thought me about Hydrogen Sulfide?" Asked Eddy panting as he handed Edd a "And how you can identify it using its rotten eggs smell"

"Eddy..." Double D wiped a tear from his eye. "I'm so proud of you for remembering what I taught you last week. I knew you'd come around and realize what a beautiful subject chemistry is. You even used proper lab equip-"

"Hold it sockhead, you can get emotional me after class, Ed and me have to rush to homeroom. Mind returning this to Mr. Brown back there." Eddy rambles on before grabbing Ed and running off. "Thanks Double D!" He shouts as he continues running.

'Why did Eddy give me these goggles. I always keep an extra pair in my backpack if needed.' Edd pondered but his thoughts were answered in the form of a fuming Mr. Brown the chemistry teacher.

"I recognize those goggles, they were missing this morning from the lab!" He screamed as he stomped towards Edd. "EDDWARD MARION VINCENT HOW DARE YOU CREATE STINK BOMBS USING LAB HYDROGEN SULFIDE"

'Ah... I'm so killing those two later' Thought Edd as he tried to defend himself but Mr. Brown was having none of it this morning. A rogue stink bomb ruined his office and it'd probably take all weekend to clear out the stench.

Hence, Double D stood mortified as Mr Brown walked away after giving him his first detention since joining High School. His post-school tutoring would have to be postponed for his 1 hour detention today. As he trudged towards homeroom, Double D swore never to teach any more Chemistry to Ed or Eddy.
