Summer Gleeson; about a certain hero

You point to a redhead raising her hand up high. "You there."

"Summer Gleeson, Gotham Insider. Can you tell us where other heroes fit in to your future? Specifically Batman." You had to be quick on the draw to answer that one...

"Are other heroes involved in my future plans? Yes, they definitely are. It's always nice to have help, especially to protect our home, Earth." Summer wrote that down, and other reporters wanted their chance. "You, miss?" You addressed a caucasian woman with black hair.

"Lois Lane from the Daily Planet. Rumor is that you have the ability to do impossible things, such as reform or change the criminally insane. Any background you can provide?" You started getting nervous, but you kept your composure as best you can.

"I can neither confirm not deny gossip, as people always talk." You hated lying to people, even though it was a lie of omission, but you didn't want anyone finding out about... A-bout... About what...? you wondered. "What I did was provide a sympathetic ear, provide words of encouragement, and then they seem to take my advice to heart." At that moment, Lois's irises lit up white.

"But isn't it true you once were a scientist?" Things were now getting personal, and a bit creepy. "For LexCorp?" And soon, all the reporters had white, glowing eyes as they were a bit more aggressive in their questions.

"Shadow, do the insane belong to you?" "Is there more than trust between you and them?" "Are you really a hero?" All these questions were starting to get to you, and you politely thanked everyone before walking off.

But the herd was still after you!

You walked faster and faster as you heard them quickly approaching. And you saw your limo parked in the distance, with Mercy coming out to open the back door. You slowly ran by the time you saw her, and you dove in as though you were sliding to home base in baseball. She closed the door and had a pistol out. "Mr. S will accept no more questions today. Good day." She cautiously made to the driver's seat and opened the door, slinking inside and closing the door once completely facing the windshield.

She ignited the engine, and the reporters banged on the windows and still bothered you, with glowing eyes and with now slanderous questions. Finally, Mercy pulled away from the curb and merged into traffic.
