Go assist the Au Revoir team (Au Revoir route)

You had every reason to comply with the request that London's man had passed on to you. For starters, who was more dangerous to life, limb, and property than a rogue Au Revoir on the loose? You'd be hard pressed to imagine any sort of emergency that could take precedence over finding and subduing her. {if Au Revoir's Hidden Past = 1}Beyond that, the girl had proven herself susceptible to control by dangerous outside forces. It was no stretch to suppose those very same manipulators were behind her decision to grab a Gambit and fly to London.{endif} If that wasn't enough, there was one more factor to consider: Au Revoir was probably leaving an easy-to-follow trail that would take you straight to the confrontation, while trying to find Vaarvel might be like looking for a needle in a haystack.

As you headed from Madison's office towards the tech wing, remembering the way from your time as an agent of CEDIT London, you hoped that you would soon encounter the Au Revoir team that you'd been told to assist. Your failure to do so, combined with the suspicious lack of the sort of wonton damage that you'd associate with Au Revoir, had you feeling suspicious and anxious. Whatever game was going on here, it didn't suit the meat-headed blonde at all; she had to be acting under someone else's orders. Surviving the encounter alone would be such a feat, it was hard for you to even picture a scenario where you subdued the agent alive... but you felt that's what you needed to accomplish, if she really was under somebody else's thumb. For now, you just needed to find her.

The strange lack of property destruction ended where you supposed you ought to have suspected: the well-secured laboratory of London's foremost experts in genetics, who were most likely all tied up in the same sort of genetic conditioning research that Nora was. It now seemed feasible to you that Au Revoir had come here for answers to some of the questions that had long plagued her, but you couldn't say for sure until you saw her in action. What was undeniable, however, was that she'd forced her way in with some sort of high-tech weapon; the heavy door sealing the lab had been ripped off its hinges and still had burning, molten metal smoldering like handprints upon one side of it. She hadn't been bear-handed, but she didn't seem to be using a gun either...

Fearing for the safety of CEDIT's scientists, you headed further inside, past the inactive decontamination chamber and countless safety messages that Au Revoir herself had likely ignored on her way in.

If Tschau or Vaarvel was the girl you were following, you'd probably struggle to find her, even after entering a closed room you knew she'd just broken into. Au Revoir, on the other hand, was never one much for hiding. She was wearing a uniform you'd never seen before, but there was no mistaking her crazy musculature, even with most of it covered up. The towering woman had cornered two scientists-- both men and, by the looks of the fear on their faces, not fighting types-- at one side of the room, while she flipped through documents on a clipboard. The pad seemed tiny in her massive hands and seeing her read anything was a little odd, but you wished she'd have stayed distracted for a little longer while you closed in to subdue her. The moment she turned around, her ordinarily amiable grin caused you to freeze up, due to the aura of menace it instead projected.

For once, Au Revoir was covered from head to toe, this time in a suit that could be called "Adder Blue," due to its similarity to their uniform. The outfit consisted of an insulated mask, covering everything but her cheeks to chin in a tight fit, with a thin, black visor over where the eyes must be. Her hair was entirely hidden by that hood. Below, the shape of her body was visible, rippling beneath the stretched blue material, with tall, black boots and gloves, ending in metallic gauntlets strapped to some sort of machinery pack, worn like a backpack. If the whole insulated suit seemed strange, it made sense moments later, as the palm-side of her gloves began to glow red-hot, burning up the paper and clipboard she was holding into ashes, before the fingers clenched and formed a fist instead.

"Hello, little Ciao! I didn't think that you would follow me all the way here," your fellow agent greeted you in a chipper sounding voice, although the maniac grin lingering on her face seemed to indicate a greater degree of insanity than usual.

You quipped back that you didn't expect to find her fighting using this bizarre combination of Adder and Deliverer technology.

"Hm hm hm... I am not just the strongest combat specialist in the world. I also enjoy my job, oui? What I can do with my bare hands, I will do with my bare hands, but if I get a fun toy to use, I will not turn up my nose at it," she responded, with a joking tone of voice, as though the two of you were still on good terms. "I take it you didn't come here to help me with my mission to destroy the genetics research conducted by CEDIT London?"

You shook your head, then told her that you weren't fully convinced that was even why she was here. There were still too many questions. Where had Vaarvel gone? Why now? Why was she still working with Adder?

The woman chuckled once again, then, with her head lowered, began to walk towards you with slow, menacing intent. "It sounds like you're going to stand in my way. It's kind of pointless talking to a guy who's just going to die in a little while. If you're not leaving, then let's do what I do best!"

You wished she was talking about fucking this time around, but as she raised her fists into a boxing stance, you suspected she meant her other favorite pastime.
