Next year

Harry sighed as he made his way up the stairs towards the headmasters office clutching the letter Dumbledore had sent earlier, and wondering what the old goat wanted.

As he passed one of the windows, he stopped for a moment, watching the snow lightly falling in the fading light of sunset. This year had sucked so far, Dumbledore was convinced Voldemort was trying to return to physical form, (still having no idea that the very thing he was worried about had already happened) and as such had been "preparing" Harry for the fight he believed was coming.

Having sat through these jokes of training, Harry was relieved he had joined the Dark Lord, otherwise Dumbles would have sent Harry into battle with no real preparations.

The unfortunate side effect however was that with Dumbledore's increased scrutiny, there was no way to sneak out of the school undetected, which meant it had been almost 6 months since he'd had any physical contact with Fleur, more specifically, 6 months since he'd been able to watch as Voldemort made her scream with pleasure. Although Harry mused, it was kind of surprising Dumbledore had wanted to talk to him already, it had been maybe 4 days since the headmaster had informed Harry that he would not be able to return home for the winter break from"safety" reasons. Which basically meant not being able to see Fleur or Voldemort for another 4 months.

Hell, he was almost certain Dumbledore was intercepting his mail, so he couldn't even receive pictures or letters from either of them, other than a pair of wizarding photos received the first week of school. However as he took in the sight before him, 2 things stood out.

First: His "mysterious assailant" was none other than his girlfriend, Fleur Delacour.

"The old goat won't be a problem anymore Potter." The unmistakable voice of Voldemort sounded.

Turning,Harry was greeted with the sight of the Dark Lord sitting behind Dumbledores desk, and the former headmasters severed head sitting on the desk.
