Chapter 214

Where does it lead to?
Somewhere Creepy
The three of you run down the busy streets as you continue following the slithering path of the rocketeer that snatched Luthor. There were complaints from people you bumped into, but you and Vigilante apologized quickly. You even hopped on top of oncoming cars, inciting a multitude of honks and shouts from annoyed/angry drivers.
Nothing was gonna take your eyes off of it!
In spite of all the protests from civilians you bumped into or disrupted from following the trail in the sky, you went straight for a warehouse at the docks. Vigilante warned you, "Heads up, partner! You're gonna crash! Stop!" So you put your hands out blindly, bending your arms as you abruptly stopped yourself from crashing into it. You shut your eyes tightly, shaking your head and regained your regular, colorful vision. At that moment, you channel the teleportation within and create a can opener. With it, you carve out a large enough round door. You went crouching in first, then Vigilante, and lastly Justin to guard your flank. When you made it inside, the whole place was empty: no workbenches, no valuables, or furniture. Nothing was there with you except some crates, and... a green spacesuit-looking armor standing at attention.
"Why would the kidnapper stop here?" you wondered out loud.
"I get the feelin' we've been led astray," Vigilante growled. "Like wild horses."
"Lady Graves deceived us," sir Justin sneered. Right at that moment, the suit raised its arm up to fire a green beam of energy at you. You tackling the cowboy out of harm's way gave Justin incentive to follow your lead, diving the other way! The blast left a considerable hole in the wall behind you. Everyone got back on their feet, and Vigilante drew his pistols out.
"Alright, Luthor!" he shouted. "Come on out of there!" But there was no answer as again the suit fired at you. You three ran and avoided a volley of beam attacks from both hands now. Continuously dodging fire, you had to take the fight to the suit. Vigilante was already returning shots, but the impacts on the suit didn't damage it in the least.
"That's it!" you cheered. "Keep firing, cowboy!" As you kept on moving, you suited up in your teleport armor.
"My word..." Sir Justin was bewildered, impressed with your choice of clothing.
"Let's take him down, Justin. I'll be shield, you the sword." He smiled, liking that plan. "Ready?"
He drew out his magical blade and replied, "Ready!" You both charged at the mini mecha, exclaiming,
"Have at thee!"
You ran in front of Justin, absorbing the beam into your right arm, and you blasted it from your left palm. That pushed it back for a second, allowing the Knight to leap over you and chop of its left arm, and with fluid motion, he slashed below its knee. It was down but not out yet, for it fired again at Justin, and at that moment, you couldn't will your suit fast enough and you got blasted! You were pushed into Justin, skidding along the floor last the door opening.
Vigilante, meanwhile charged in and kicked the suit's butt literally! That got is attention before it could blast you or Justin again. When you and he sat up, you did just in time to see Vigilante get harshly hurt by the beam. You got so annoyed with that thing, that you took Justin's blade. You channeled teleport energy around it, and created a big bow to fire it like an arrow. And so you did! It shot through the air like a long, sharp bullet and pierced into the back of the suit and, as Vigilante could tell, right through its chest! A quarter of the blade stuck out.
Did that do the trick?
