It was Harley!

Harley saw that you were in trouble, and with as much strength as she could muster, she pushed herself up with a building's wall to brace her. She was determined to save you with her pop-gun. But it looked she could barely stand up, never mind holding her gun up at him. "Hey, mister janitor...?" she smirked. "You need to go on a diet..." She sighed and let her arm and gun hang on her side.

Parasite wriggled and shuffled to get out of the restraining streamers he was wrapped in. Then he remembered how to channel your gorilla strength, flexing his muscles to stretch the ribbons to, soon enough, break them. You groan at how he got free, and Harley gasped. Then he kicked you literally when you were down.

"Leave 'im alone, ya freak!" But Parasite walked towards her, mimicking your voice.

"Come on, Harley. Why would you save a womanizer like him? Before you and he met, he took a number of women of his precious Justice League to bed with him. It all started with Supergirl..." Now you were really ticked off! No one uses your memories against you, or Harley! You rolled over to push off to stand. But Harley was just in shock.

"That's not... No," she denied, shaking her head softly. Then she scowled at him determinedly. "No!"

"First it was Supergirl," Rudy taunted with your voice still, using Harley's training against her now. "Then it was Wonder Woman, then Vixen, Zatanna... And don't forget your happy ending with him and Poison Ivy." Harley heard all those names, feeling betrayed but Batman did a similar tactic to get in her head.

"Stop it!" she yelled. But Rudy stood behind her as she held her head in confusion.

"You know it's true, Harleen," he said with his own voice. "How long until he finds a new bed partner? Or two, or more...? Then how much will he care for you?" She lowered her hands to her chest, breaking into tears.

"My Puddin' does love me. He does..." You secretly walk up behind him as quietly as you can. Rudy grew claws and tormented her more...

"You once thought that about Joker, but he was using from the start... What makes you think Shadow won't? What could you possibly offer him that those other heroes and villains can't...?" He was just about to slash her throat out when you banged your fists on the top of his head. He was knocked down when she turned around to see you standing there. You both locked eyes, staring with some intensity and genuine affection for each other when you answered:

"A chance to reform a bad girl to the good guys."

She squeaked and hugged you, but because you hadn't got all your strength back, she toppled on top of you. Not that either of you really minded, smiling at each other.

"Well, isn't that touching?" Rudy was up already, rubbing the hurt spot on his head. Harley and you saw him, and she helps you as best she can to stand back up and stare him down.

It's not over. Yet.
