Chapter 32 by TheTruePenguin TheTruePenguin

WHERE DID YOU GO?

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

The first thing you were aware of was a slight floating sensation, and the telltale sound of orbing before you found yourself on a rooftop surrounded by lucid clouds. Nearby you could see a man accosting a woman, who was crying for help, a woman whom you recognized as Prue.

"Did she call me into her dream?" You thought confusedly before both of the other denizens of the dream seemed to notice your presence, surprising as it was.

"Who are you?" The man, who you assumed to be the so called 'Dream Sorcerer', asked while Prue used the opportunity to get away from him, as much as the open rooftop allowed.

"Would it be cliche to say your worst nightmare?" Confused, you fell back on an old classic, witty remarks.

"Hmph, it matters little, I'll dispose of you quickly, and then return to my more beautiful partner." He said, his eyes turning to look at a Prue who'd managed to gather herself, now glaring hatefully at the man.

"Honestly man, hearing you say that makes my skin want to crawl right off, can we hurry up and get to the **** part so I don't have to listen to you anymore?" You interjected, receiving a hatefully glare of your own courtesy of the Freddy Kruger wannabe.

It wasn't until the man charged you that you realized you couldn't use any of your more flashy powers, given the audience of one you had. So you would simply have to use some of your more inconspicuous abilities.

He probably charged you expecting that here inside the dream state, you had no chance, well jokes on him as you threw a big haymaker right at his smug face, which did feel satisfying along with very painful as you were pretty sure you broke your fingers on his face. For that matter, it didn't seem to slow him down much either, maybe he was stronger here than you gave him credit for.

"Ha, did you think a worm like you could compete against me, I'm a god in the dream!" He declared as he ran into you, sending you, not all that far back, so him being some supermench was out of the question.

"Leo!" You heard Prue call your name as she threw her hand out as if to catch you as you felt the rooftop beneath your feet vanish as you went over the side, Prue's look of fearfulness a sickening contrast to Dreamy's smug countenance.

But, you said screw it, come what may, you'd handle it, no way was this bastard laying another hand on Prue or any of her sisters. You'd forgotten it in the time since you'd taken over Leo's body, just like earlier you weren't just some random guy having a good time, you were the sisters' Whitelighter, their equivalent guardian angel, and you'd be damned if you started slacking now.

"A god huh, strange, I expected more." You wanted to be angry, but the bored tone of voice seemed so much more appropriate at the moment as the dreamer's face changed to confusion followed by disbelief.

"How, how, no this doesn't make any sense!" He declared to the heavens as both he and Prue looked at you off the side of the building, standing on nothingness.

"Surely if you're a god, you can fly?" You queried rhetorically as you reached forwards, grabbing him by the collar as you hauled he into the air with you. Fittingly, the second his feet left eh building, his whole body jerked downwards, gravity asserting itself on him as he grabbed hold of you, although it didn't waver you at all.

"Put me down, put me down!" He ordered you as you tilted your head slightly.

"Okay." And with a push, his body came clean of yours as he flailed for a moment before starting plummet to his ****. However, you should have expected that he'd try and live, it was only human nature to fear ****. As he fell backwards, he grabbed hold of your leg, his entire body dangling beneath you as you looked down at him like gum you find on your shoe.

"Please, don't let me die, I-I can make you powerful, you can have anything you want in here!" Seeing writing on the wall, he tried to bargain with you for all the good it did.

"Pathetic, a god shouldn't beg. Now fall you false god!" With a violent jerk, his hands came free as he flailed once more, trying to grab hold of something, anything as he fell, a loud scream of terror assaulting your ears as he fell beneath the cloud cover.

Sighing, you took the two steps needed to reach the roof top, Prue meeting you, grabbing hold of your arm as if to catch you should you start to follow after him.

"What... just happened? Why, no, how are you here?!" Prue questioned as you thought for only a moment, for coming up with the only answer that could spare you your secret for now.

"I think a better question is why your dreaming about your sister's boyfriend, how scandalous. What would people think, no, what would Piper and especially, Phoebe think if they knew you dreamed of me saving you?" You used a teasing tone as Prue stepped away from you, a soft dusting of red on her cheeks, although that may have just as easily been from the past few minutes.

"Where are Piper and Phoebe?" Prue asked, maintaining a safe distance between you two now.

"How should I know, I'm in your head, beyond the fact they're on their way." You replied, walking around Prue.

"So, what do we do now?" Prue asked aloud, although you were pretty sure it was a rhetorical question.

"Whatever you want, but judging from the fact I'm still here, maybe you want to resolve some tension..." You suggested playfully as you snapped your fingers, asserting your control over the dream as the rooftop was replaced by Prue's office, Prue herself now clad in a simple gray blazer, with a white blouse, the top two buttons undone along with a pencil skirt that nicely hugged her legs and derriere.

"Hello, Ms. Halliwell, I was wondering if you could appraise this for me?" You played your part, already undoing your pants as Prue blushed more heavily, covering her eyes with one hand and waving you away with the other.

"Hmm, not to your liking? Maybe something a bit more relaxing?" You suggested, the scene already changed to a spa, both you and Prue in white fluffy robes.

"Great, I get rid of a dream murderer and get stuck with a dream horndog." Prue lamented.

"For your information, those are called succubi, and given your current after-hours job, they're probably real. But since you're so eager to get rid of me, perhaps I can leave you with a little parting gift." You suggested, the playful smile still on your face as you approached Prue, who looked at you warily.

Reaching up, you softly touched the side of her face, the soft glow of your healing lost among the dream-state, as you leaned forwards, leaving a soft kiss on Prue's head. Forcing the glow a bit more, you felt Prue's consciousness begin to slip away.

"Sleep tight, little witch..." You whispered as you saw dream Prue's eyes flutter for a moment before closing as you were jolted back to your body, jerking awake as Phoebe jumped next to you.

"Are you okay? Come on, we're here!" Phoebe ordered as she bailed out of the cab, you tossing a $20 to the cab driver as you chased after her.

As you chased after Phoebe, an amusing thought came to your mind. It seems the sisters aren't the only ones who are still figuring out their powers.

Where do we go from here?
