You start to really look like a stereotypical witch

You want to roll your eyes at the number the app is giving you. Compared to the magic you’ve just accomplished, what does this silly piece of technology really do? It’s nothing.

But then you see it...the wave of green cascading over your body. Starting at your hands, your skin tone is shifting from something most people would expect to see on a human being to something very much exotic. Namely, a dark forest shade of green. It doesn’t hurt at all, and you quickly run into the bathroom to see your changes in further detail.

Your skin color isn’t the only thing changing. Your hair is becoming midnight black, and growing out longer. The shade of your eyes is changing too, matching the hue of your skin exactly. All in all, you look...like a witch. You’d just need a cat, a broom, maybe a long black dress.

Running back to where you just were, you consider your phone in a new light. So, this isn’t just some random app, is it? Looking back at your day, you realize the subtle influence it’s been having on you all the way. It must be one of those strange mixtures of technology and magic, so popular among the younger warlocks these days.

How you know that, you don’t question, you just do. This app has been changing you. That’s incontrovertible now. You’ve gone from some boring, skeptical college student to a witch, with real magical powers. In fact, you think you’re strong enough now that you don’t even really need rituals and reagents. Those will help for bigger spells, but you can manage the smaller stuff on your own. What should you do with them though? You look at the app again and notice a new Task has appeared.
