Chapter 2

"What's that?" Kara asked while pointing toward the object.

"It has the same readings as your pod, Kara." Winn informed her while tapping on his tablet.

"Maybe another Kryptonian was sent away before the explosion." Kara said, hopeful.

Kara flew towards the pod before anyone could stop her.

J'onn and Alex came back at the exact moment Kara flew off.

"Where is Ms. Danvers going? And where is Agent Lane?" J'onn asked them

"Kara is going to try and catch the pod that is falling right now while Lucy is shopping for clothes with Barry." Winn said.

"Who's Barry?" Alex said while putting her hands on her waist.

A rush of wind was felt and Barry and Lucy were inside the DEO.

"Who are you?" Alex asked as she pointed her gun towards Barry.

"Barry…" Barry said, not remembering his last name.

"Barry what?" Alex asked while still pointing the gun at him.

"I-I c-can't remember" Barry said sadly while looking down.

"You don't remember me, Barry?" Winn asked him, hurt.

"Nope, I'm sorry." Barry shook his head.

"I'll help on bringing back the pod, care to help us?" J'onn asked Barry.

"Sure," Barry said to J'onn then turning to Lucy. "See you later."

J'onn and Barry went after Supergirl but not before Barry kissed Lucy on the cheeks.

Lucy blushed then ordered her men to get ready to help civilians that will be in the way of the pod.

Kara is within arm's reach towards the pod but when she tried to touch it, it hurt her.

Barry ran in front of them and ran up the side of the building and thought for a moment, what will slow down the speed of the ship? Then he got an idea.

He started to circle his hands inwards and he created a tornado that is facing towards the pod and Kara.

Kara saw what Barry is doing and she was grateful for the help but she's also a little bit annoyed by his appearance.

The Pod slowed down and they managed to redirect it using Kara's freeze breath and Barry's tornado hands to a farm.

"It's a Kryptonian ship." Kara said in awe.

"Supergirl wait, we don't know if the person that is in there is really a Kryptonian or that he is not a bad guy." Barry reasoned.

Kara did not listen though and she took off the cockpit, only to find a man in his twenties, sleeping.

"Supergirl, come back here! He might be dangerous!" J'onn ordered.

Barry knew that Kara was probably angry with him, for some reason, which is why she wouldn't listen to him. Barry quickly racked his brain for why she might behave this way, and then the thought hit him.

'She's a little angry with me, because I'm about to have a date with Lucy.' Barry reasoned silently in his head, 'Maybe it's best if I try to make myself a little scarce whenever I'm around Kara for a while. I can't exactly back out of my date with Lucy, now.' Barry thought to himself while shrugging. 'I knew Kara liked me, I just didn't know how much...until it was too late.' Barry thought with a frown.

"Let's get him back to the DEO." Kara said while picking up the man.

"No!" Barry and J'onn exclaimed in unison.

"I don't care J'onn, I will take care of him." Kara said while still trying to lift the man.

"I'll just carry him for you." Barry said while still glaring on the man.

"Okay," Kara said, unsure.

DEO

Barry, Kara and J'onn came back to the DEO while Barry is carrying the man inside the Medbay.

"Do you think he's like me? Do you think he survived too?" Kara asked her sister.

"I don't know, Kara." Alex answered, "But I do know that somebody isn't happy how close you are with that man." Alex said while wiggling her eyebrows.

"Who?" Kara asked, trying to play dumb.

"I know you know who, Kara." Alex said with a smirk.

"Barry? Why would he get mad at how close I am with that man? He has a date with Lucy." She said, sadly and nervously.

"Why did you think Barry first? I could've been referring to James." Alex said to her, knowing she has her sister cornered.

"I don't know what to do, Alex! I denied that I like him and now he has a date! What if he starts to like Lucy back?!" Kara whisper yelled at her sister, admitting her feelings.

"Don't you like James?" Alex asked her.

"I thought I do but then Barry came and when I'm with him, not even a thought of James came to my mind and he just gets how I feel, you know?" Kara babbled dreamily while thinking of Barry.

"I think you just need to be honest with Barry." Alex commented, "If he returns your feelings then it's great, if not then I'll shoot him for you." Alex said jokingly.

"Are you sure?" Kara asked her.

"Wait until he's done with his date and then tell him." Alex said to her sister.

"Okay," Kara agreed with a shaky breath.

Noonan's ~ Barry and Lucy

Barry and Lucy are sitting right in front of each other, not knowing where to begin.

"Look Barry," Lucy began, "I asked you out on a date because I just wanted to know something, Do you like Kara? And be honest." Lucy told him.

Barry was taken aback by the question and he can't answer.

"W-what do you want me to say, Lucy?" Barry began, "I just-I just know that I enjoy talking with Kara and that when she hugs me, it makes me feel good." Barry commented.

"You like her, and she likes you back, you know?" Lucy asked him while smirking.

"Well, she did stop me from punching into that Fort Rozz prison, and asked me why I tried to do that, and I told her that I always wanted to be a hero…" Barry trailed off.

"What did she say?" Lucy asked curiously.

"She told me that I didn't have to die to be one, and that I was her hero." Barry said while smiling.

They heard a sonic boom from outside and they immediately know what is happening.

Lucy handed Barry a tissue with a message, "Tell me I look good."

"You look great tonight, Lucy." Barry said while smiling at her.

"Thanks." Lucy said, playing the part.

Kara, who was listening to their date, was fuming in anger and jealousy.

"What do you want to order, Lucy?" Barry asked, "I'm buying." Barry smiled at her.

"I'll have a pasta and a glazed donut." Lucy said to him.

"And what to drink?" The waiter asked.

"Just a coke for two, please." Lucy and Barry said in unison then laughed.

Kara heard it and flew to an alley to change into civilian clothing and entered Noonans.

"Hi, Barry." Kara greeted him.

"Hello, Kara" Lucy and Barry said in unison again which sent them to a fits of laughter.

"I just-I just came to check up on you," Kara began, "Since you almost died today." Kara whispered the last part.

"Well, we're good right, Lucy?" Barry asked with a wink.

"Yes, we are." Lucy added while leaning over to kiss Barry on the lips. It was just a peck.

"Oh, I'll ju-just go back to the-the DEO, t-then." Kara stuttered, stunned.

"Kara," Barry began, "If you can find a date sometime, me and Lucy would love to have a double-date with you and Mr. Right." Barry commented.

"Y-you d-do?" Kara asked them.

Barry just nodded his head.

"Well, I should go and Barry if you need a place to crash, you can stay at my place." Kara offered.

"Sure," Barry said, "We could get to know each other better, as friends." Barry told her.

"Yeah, as friends." Kara replied sadly before leaving the two.

Lucy waited until she's sure that Kara was gone and was not listening in on them...

"Did I act convincingly?" Barry asked with a chuckle.

"You were perfect, Barry." Lucy began, "Did you notice how Kara reacted when I gave you a simple peck on the lips?" she asked him.

"Yeah, she just stood there." Barry recalled.

"Yeah, but she acted like her heart was breaking on the inside." Lucy said to Barry.

"Why are you doing this, Lucy? What do you gain from it?" Barry asked her, curious of her motives.

"I'm just trying to get Kara to make her move." Lucy answered, "But she's too shy and timid to do so."

"So, what should I tell her after this?" Barry asked.

"Tell her, that we're trying to get her to come out of her shell." Lucy said while smiling.

"What does that even mean? Sorry, memory loss, l forgot some terms in English." Barry said sheepishly.

"You'll get your memories back, in time." Lucy assured him, "By the way, you're a great kisser, Barry." Lucy complimented him.

"Thanks, even when it's just a peck on the lips." Barry said while snickering.

"I can see why Kara likes you so much." Lucy said without thinking.

"You do?" Barry teased her.

"You're a great guy, Barry." Lucy admitted, "Stick with me and I'll show you the ropes." Lucy said.

"Okay, but what if Kara starts to like somebody else while we're pretending to like each other?" Barry asked, worried about competition.

"Then, there's nothing we can do." Lucy said solemnly, "We just have to move on..."

"And find someone new to be crazy about." Barry finished, remembering a night with a brown-haired girl.

"Yeah," Lucy began, "You're getting it." she said while touching his cheek with her hand.

"I just remembered something that goes along those lines." Barry shrugged.

"What was it?" Lucy asked curiously.

"I don't know all the details but I was at a corridor of some sorts and I was talking to Caitlin about something or someone and I said those words." Barry explained.

"Who's Caitlin? Another girl of yours?" Lucy teased as she wiggled her eyebrows.

"She used to help me fight crime in Central City, by patching me up every time I got hurt." Barry suddenly remembered.

"She's like your personal physician?" Lucy asked him.

"Yeah," Barry began, "Now that I'm stuck in another world, I don't have one." Barry commented, sadly.

"I could take over, I have some medical experience while I was in the army." Lucy offered.

"You'd do that for me?" Barry asked incredulously.

"Yeah, plus me touching you while shirtless in front of Kara will be bonus points." She said with a laugh.

Barry said thank you while leaning over to give Lucy a peck on the lips.

"We should probably go home before Kara picks you up and flies you home." Lucy joked.

"You're right," Barry said before telling the waiter, "Check, please!"

"What will you pay them?" Lucy asked, "You don't have a job here, that means that you don't have money."

Barry looked into his pockets and found some money. "Kara must have given me this." Barry said while pulling a hundred dollar bill.

"I guess she doesn't want you to disappoint your date." Lucy said with a smirk.

"How much?" Barry asked the waiter.

"70 dollars, sir." The waiter said.

"Keep the change." Barry said while handing the waiter the hundred.

Barry and Lucy walked out of Noonan's.

"Care to walk me home?" Lucy asked him.

"What about I flash you home?" Barry jokingly said.

"You need directions first." Lucy said before giving him directions.

"Got it, ready?" Barry asked as they went to an alley and he picked up Lucy.

Barry ran Lucy back to her apartment and said "Goodnight," to her before walking away.

"Goodnight too, Barry." Lucy muttered as she entered her apartment.

Kara's Apartment

Barry ran inside and saw Kara waiting for him on the couch.

"Barry," Kara began, "There's something I need to tell you."

"What is it?" Barry asked while caressing her hands.

"I really like you Barry," Kara said boldly, "And I want to be more than friends." She told him.

"Um, I'll get back to you in a sec." Barry said while running back to Lucy's apartment, not knowing what else to say.

"Lucy," Barry said while knocking on her door, "Kara just told me that she likes me and wants to more than friends, what should I do?"

Lucy opened the door and asked, "What did you say?!" excitedly.

"I told her I'd get back to her in a minute." Barry replied.

Lucy facepalmed herself and told Barry, "Get back right now and tell her how you really feel."

Barry used his superspeed and went back to the apartment, and decided to be forthcoming with Kara.

Kara was on a phone call with Alex and she said, "I knew it Alex, I was too late." through the phone, sadly.

Barry decided to wait until she was done with her conversation and tell her the truth.

"I was too late and now he ran away." Kara said as she began to cry.

Barry went up to Kara and hugged her silently.

"Wha-" Kara did not finish her words before Barry turned her around and kissed her on the lips.

"Kara," Barry began after breaking the kiss, "Lucy just took me out on a date to find out how I felt about you." Barry commented, "She wanted to make you jealous so you would come out of your shell." Barry said to Kara.

Kara was too stunned at the kiss that she didn't hear Barry even with her superhearing.

"Kara," Barry began, "Do you understand?" Barry asked, "Lucy just wanted to make you jealous for some reason.'

Kara just kissed Barry passionately, she's so happy that she didn't lose Barry to Lucy.

Barry just broke the kiss and hugged her tightly. Like he was afraid of losing her.

"Can I ask you a question?" Kara asked him.

"I just told you everything but sure." Barry said.

"What happened when you saved me from space? Lucy pointed out your… excitement." Kara asked him.

"Y-yeah, I was-I was turned on by you, Kara." Barry mentioned.

"Oh, were you now? Scarlet Speedster." Kara teased him.

Barry got a headache and he got a memory of a blog and a celebration with his emblem.

Barry held his head in pain, and just stood there. "God, it's so painful." Barry groaned, "I keep getting these flashes of memories."

"What do you remember? Do you remember your past life?" Kara asked frantically.

"I just-I just had a memory of a blog, it was about me and there was a celebration when my new Flash emblem was revealed at STAR Labs." Barry said to Kara.

"You're starting to remember, huh?" Kara asked him sadly.

"Yeah, but I do know this, I don't want to go home now...I wanna stay with you, Kara." Barry said while smiling at her.

"You do?" Kara asked, dumbfounded at her… something's words.

"Yeah, I really like you Kara but I was afraid that if you didn't feel the same way, I'd lose you…" Barry trailed off.

"Well, the feeling's mutual." Kara said as she kissed Barry again.

"What happened between you and Lucy?" Barry asked, "She really wanted to make you jealous for some reason." Barry pointed out.

"It's **** for what I did back when I liked James." Kara answered.

"You're not going to like this Kara, but I told Lucy how I used to have a personal physician to patch me up after I fought crime in Central City, and Lucy volunteered to be my physician." Barry said cautiously to her.

"You what?!" Kara exclaimed.

"I need someone to patch me up whenever I get hurt." Barry commented simply, "Do you have any medical experience?" Barry asked Kara.

"No, but Alex and the doctors at the DEO have some." Kara pointed out.

"If you don't want her to be my physician, then just say so, Kara." Barry replied.

"Then I don't want her to be your physician." Kara said as she crossed her arms.

"Okay, we'll tell her that in the morning." Barry said while moving to sleep on the couch...

"Goodnight Barry." Kara said as she kissed him one more time.

"Goodnight Kara." Barry said before falling asleep.

Kara tried to fall asleep on her own bed but she can't so she scooted over next to Barry and fell asleep.
