Chapter 22 by skedlee
Where did Zatanna go?
Arkham Asylum
"Where do you think she went?" You ask Barbara, as you scan the room for any clues as to her newfound location.
"Not really. And she took off the medical monitoring equipment, which I could have used to track her. But I think we can narrow it down."
"How so?"
"Well, if we can assume that she couldn't have gotten far, due to her diminishing magic and wanting to save what's left of it for her big bang, we can narrow it down to Gotham and its surrounding areas"
"Even Metropolis?"
"Probably not quite that far. Just within the state of New Jersey itself."
"Alright, makes sense. I take it you're an expert on villains in Gotham, so who is here?"
"Well, we have the local mafia. Falcone, Maroni, and Thorne are the big ones, but I don't think Zatanna knows about them all that well."
"Yeah, and they're probably not big enough for a grand finale or a big bang anyway. How about the League of Assassins? They fight Batman a lot, right?"
"First off, they're not around Gotham; they're in the Himalayans. Secondly, Zatanna hasn't come into contact with them either."
"So where could she have gone?" You pause a second, deep in thought. "Any villains lairs that Zatanna would know about, they would have been cleared out by now, right?"
"Definitely...so it has to be something only Zatanna would know or..." Suddenly, Barbara lights up, smiling in triumph. You give her a look and she explains. "It's easy. The highest concentration of villains in the local area would be Arkham Asylum."
"Oh ya, that makes sense. But would Zatanna really attack prisoners?"
"The issue with Arkham is that it's a cursed place. No matter how hard Batman or the League try, criminals keep managing to escape, since Bruce doesn't kill his enemies. Zatanna has long theorized that its curse is magical in origin, so she might want to cleanse it as her grand finale. Or." She pauses, "She might taken the middle man out and just kill them all."
"She wouldn't do that...would she?"
"I think chemical W impairs decision making. There's no telling what Zatanna without restraint is capable of."
"Then we have no time to waste." you urge. "We got to get to Arkham and prevent Zatanna from making a big mistake."
"And save her life. Don't forget, your sperm is the key to stopping chemical W in its tracks."
"Right. We need to go now." With that, the two of you rush out of Shadowcrest to Barbara's bike, where Barbara opens a hidden compartment and pulls out her trademark dark purple batsuit.
"Can you turn around please?" She asks, "I am a lady, you know."
"Oh right." you turn away, but not before grabbing your duffle bag. You empty it, and begin the process of suiting yourself up, stripping off your loaned clothes. Your dick is definitely glad that it's no longer constricted by the tight jeans. Suiting up itself is not hard, as you designed it for ease of in getting in and out of it. Finishing up, you affix your mask over your head, and turn around, expecting Barbara to be done.
But she's not.
You only get a momentary glimpse of Barbara, but she's as beautiful as you thought. It's not too bright outside, but the hanging lanterns adorning the exterior of Shadowcrest provide enough light to see smooth porcelain skin. She's not delicate like porcelain, however. You can tell she has some real strength in her body, akin to a CrossFit athlete. You think that she must run miles every day to keep that figure, but her musculature doesn't get to the point where it overwhelms her beauty. In short, she's akin to a lioness, with power and beauty both aplenty.
Just as you're getting lost in her body, she must feel your stare on her, and you quickly whirl back around, hoping you weren't caught. Another awkward minute passes, and only then does Barbara say, "You can turn around now."
You turn to look at her, and are shocked to see her suit only halfway on, her perky breasts exposed to you fully. You pause, enraptured by the sight. They were bigger than you thought, full and hefty, completely at odds with the rest of her lean body. You savor the sight, before Barbara quickly slips it fully on, grinning.
"Just wanted to make sure you got a good look at them. Come on, we don't have a lot of time." She lifts her purple suited up long leg over her bike, and beckons you to climb on. You clamber on, and she wastes no time before taking off once more. As you exit the property, the gates magically open, and their groaning almost sounding as if they are begging you to save their mistress.
This time, you're happy to have Barbara at the helm, as she once again makes great time, this time maneuvering through the narrow streets that makes Gotham so hazardous to drive in. Her command of the road is total, as if she knows what each other driver on the road is going to do before they do.
It's not too long before you catch sight of Arkham, and you gasp despite yourself upon seeing it for the first time. It is imposing and large, dominating the entirety of the block it sits on. The rest of the neighborhood are old decrepit buildings, untaken care of and decaying as if they've been there for hundreds of years. Turning your attention back to the building itself, it looks made of concrete, much more like a prison than a rehabilitation center. Which, if the rumors about its ownership were true, made a lot of sense.
As you get closer to Arkham, you notice a small exodus of cars. Peering into the windows, you see that it's mostly security, and you conclude that Zatanna began the process to evacuate the premises. Barbara pulls right up to the large stone steps and the two of you race up them and enter the building.
As anticipated, the building is empty, people clearly having left in a rush. You wonder where you are going, so you decide to voice your question to Barbara.
"Where are we going?"
"The heart of the building. It's located in the second basement level, with the solitary confinement patients."
"So like the big super villains?"
"Not quite. While most on that level have fought Batman before, they haven't been deemed a big enough threat to demand maximum security attention. So no Joker, or Poison Ivy, or villains like that."
"That's a relief."
The rest of your trek through the fluorescent lit hallways is silent, both of you focusing on finding Zatanna before it was too late. After going down two flights of stairs and navigating under cracked ceiling and over stained floors, you reach a large chamber. Running into the room, you see Zatanna, but she's not alone.
Who's with her?
