Chapter 139 by D!$N3Y D!$N3Y

What's next?

An unfair advantage!

Day 10:

For almost a week, Batman had been teaching you more martial arts: judo, taekwondo, etc., and had been testing you on your techniques. He had been relentless in pushing you, and subsequently your nanites, to your limit! But this day, Batman had invited Wildcat and Black Canary to your fight. "What's going on?" you inquire.

"It's time you start fighting on multiple fronts," Bruce explained.

"Don't sweat it, Shad," Dinah said. "Wildcat taught me all that I know about fighting." You take one look at the guy: tall, black, and muscular. You could swear you saw lookalikes. Things got awkwardly silent for a moment, then Wildcat walked up to you.

"So. Batman thinks you got moves." He leans in to your forehead, and you feel a little intimidated... "Well, I've seen 'em before couple of times: wannabe heroes who think they're hot stuff. Only reason you're a hero is 'cause of those robots in your blood."

"Ted?" Dinah warned, but he was undeterred; you felt offended at how his words hurt. You couldn't see that he was an old man inside a costume, bitter from having no other advantages but his muscles and great determination.

"Bats? You got the gadget?" He looked back at him, and Batman pulled out what looked like a little garage door opener from his utility belt. Before you could even ask what it was, Ted answered: "That thing? It'll give out an EMP blast to knock out your bots in you for a few hours. Let's see how tough you are without hiding behind your tiny surgeons..."

"Ted! You have no idea what that's gonna do to him!" Canary protested.

"It's about time this Shadow kid stops relying on his science project to win his battles." And the second Batman turns on his EMP device, not only did the nanites deactivate, but you felt the aftereffects so suddenly...

What happens to you?!
