A pledge named Pete and a girl named Katie

“Yo Petey!” Jason yelled at the young freshman who was sitting on the porch talking to an attractive but young blonde girl.

“What?” He called out.

“Get over here you’re playing next!” Chase shouted. “Bring your girl. Chicks can toss too.”

The two freshmen wandered over. They were both dwarfed by the tall upperclassmen. Jason was big and ripped, while Chase was equally as big but much more rotund. Pete was short and thin and his friend, who he introduced as Katie who lived on his floor, was the same height. She was wearing a thin tank top and high wasted shorts. Her shoulder length straight blonde hair was a sharp contrast to the male pledges bright red hair.

“Y’all know the rules?” Chase asked as the two took their positions on the other side of the table.

“Fuck yeah!” Katie replied as she filled the glass in front of her full of beer. “You guys play to nine or eleven?” She asked.

“Nine.” Jason said. “Height gutter on the roof, No fifas, self sink and skunk rules apply.” The two freshman nodded and Jason lined up and tossed first. The die went high in the air and bounced down off the plywood and fell to the ground for a point just past Pete’s outstretched hand.

Jason and Chase shared a high five as Katie groaned at her partners attempt to catch the die. “Hey I’m just warming up!” The freshman said defensively as Chase lined up his toss. This time the die bounced off the table and Katie dove for it as it ricocheted away from her. Blowing the hair out of her face she jumped up with the die held high above her head. It elicited polite applause from the two older frat guys.

“Ladies first.” Pete offered as Katie threw the die high into the air. It bounced on opposite side of the table but was easily snagged by Jason as it fell over the side.
