What is the Cerberus?

You wake up in your bed, but not in your room. A quick glance at your surroundings tells you that you are about to be speaking with Cerberus again.

You hear footsteps behind you. When you turn you see only one of the three beings you expected to encounter.

The body wearing the band extends a hand towards you, the other two bodies appear beside her, their hands at their sides.

"We would like to congratulate you." The one with the band speaks. "You've freed yourself from whatever previous plagued you." She turns briefly towards each of her counterparts. "We have also noticed that you have once again become less susceptible."

"What is troubling you?" The one with the chain leans forward slightly.

You explain that you wish to learn more of them and that you struggle to find ways to speak to them.

"Perhaps you should name us then." They all speak at once. "Then we will further explain ourselves."

"Could you explain yourselves first?" You ask. "It may be easier to name you."

"Very well." The three speak at once. "As we have told you before, we are three bodies that belong to one soul." They all shake their heads. "It would be more accurate to say that our soul has been separated into three pieces, each with its own body." The body with the band gestures to herself. "The fragment of our soul contained in my body holds the light."

The body with the chain gestures to herself. "The fragment of our soul in my body fosters the darkness."

"And mine is neutral." The plain body says.

"When we became the Cerberus we came into contact with a blue skinned girl that could float... She told us that we were chosen to be an experiment for The Nine." The three bodies sigh and close their eyes. "Before we could even comprehend what we had just hear we were taken into a realm similar to the one we stand in now... There were two floating machines, one was covered in a blue light that pulsed with a shadowy aura, the other was radiating a yellow glow." The three bodies open their eyes. "After that it felt like we were freezing over and melting at the same time in different places... We passed out. When we woke up we could see ourselves standing there... It was painful. We could see each version of ourself through each set of eyes all in one image." The body with the chain steps forward. "One of us was covered in a dark, ice like substance that was breaking like a shell around us." The body with the band steps forward. "Another had a crystal like shell that had blue shards, purple shards and orange shards." The plain body steps forward. "And the last one acted as the control center..." The three take a step back. "The nine had **** us to become a host to both the light and the dark at the same time, and our soul split into three bodies... We heard a voice that told us we were the first subjects that didn't die, then they called us The Cerberus, then we were back home."

The three of them place one of their hands on the same one of your shoulders. "We seek to empower you with the darkness and the light using us as the carrier. Like a ghost to a guardian... By doing this we will be able to free ourselves from The Nine, a condition set by them themselves... We've searched for a long time, we believe you are the only candidate." They all step back. "I can feel that you wish to communicate further, if naming us would help, please do so now." The plain body says.

After thinking on it for a while you point to the plain body and explain that you will call her Minerva.

"Very well."

You then point to the body with the band and explain that you will call her Theia.

"Thank you."

Finally, you point to the body with the chain and explain that you will call her Kali.

"So be it."

"It seems we are no longer in control. You have become the host sooner than expected... Now that we are named, call on us individually if you wish." The three of them speak.
