A peaceful morning.

After some very restful sleep I can finally feel conscience taking hold. This time as I wake I feel well rested and the pain and nausea has subsided. I keep my eyes shut as I feel around my taking stock. I notice that I.V. was gone replace with wrap and that the gauze on my head is gone. I open my eyes and am greeted by the gentle morning sun peering through the window. I stretch and notice this is probably the most rested I have ever been.

My stomach growls and my throat feels like sandpaper. I find the call button remote lying next to my and press the button. A few seconds later I hear the crackle of static and voice happily comes over the speaker.

"Hurray! Your finally awake, just sit tight I'll send your nurse right in." said the voice.

A few moments later a rather chipper Cindy comes bopping in hands behind her back. She looks over at me with a wide beaming with happiness. She walks over to my side and starts talking.

"Morning sunshine." she greeted cheerily," I hope your feeling better. You know what I'd bet you're really thirsty and hungry." she said. She then brought a bottle Root Beer from behind her back.

"How did you know I love that stuff?" I inquired.

"Her you talking to one of the other boys in quarantine." she replied.

She then went about her business doing minor check ups on me. Mean while food had arrived and I dug in. After I finished eating she took my tray and said she would be back later to help to get cleaned up. She returned a few hours later and stared to help me out of bed.
