Uneventful...

Yeah, it's like any other day, really. Your co-worker chats with you a bit, you serve some customers their coffee and lattes, bring out the occasional baked good.

As the shift is finishing up in the early afternoon, Fuuzoku smiles up at you. "Were you always this good at latte art and baking, Senpai?" she asks.

"Not at first... I mean, I already knew how to cook, brew coffee, and other things from living alone, but... I kinda learned how to bake for this job when my trainer got sick on my first day and couldn't handle the food. The latte art just came in handy. I already knew how to do it for my phot-" you catch yourself.

Fuuzoku frowns. "Your what, Senpai?"

"Nothing..." You sigh, finishing up your current latte art and setting it on the counter. "Number 4, double-shot cafe latte!"

"Hm... Well, I'm still learning! I hope to be as good as you someday, Senpai!" You can't help but smile down at your shorter, chipper kouhai. For some reason, she's always been good about not prying... The second you tell her you'd rather not talk about something, she never asks about it again unless she gets caught up in the flow of conversation and forgets. It's actually really nice.

She grins, hands behind her back and leaning forward a little as she looks up at you. "Oh, Senpai! Are you busy after work? Wanna go-"

"Nah, I had some plans."

She doesn't miss a beat. "Oh! Okay, have fun, Senpai!"

You always feel guilty telling her that... She can't really know that you don't really go out and socialize much. Aside from the gaming cafe "Random" and your classes in the studio, you mainly stick to your apartment so you don't accidentally strip anyone... Even if your co-worker is immune to your Quirk, you might bump into someone when you're out with her, and she'd likely find out what it is. And who knows, maybe she is affected by your Quirk and is just resistant to it. Out having fun would be the last place you'd want to find that fact out...

It's the next day that you head in for your morning shift. Luckily, this time, you don't wind up a hostage. Not that that happens often, just... Eh, forget it.

Fuuzoku is normally an early riser and the first one there, but you find the door locked. You pop it open with the key and step inside. Huh, maybe she's running late? Shrugging, you punch in get the shop ready for opening. You didn't run into many people on the way here, either... Is there some kind of event elsewhere in the city? Kinda nice, you suppose. A bit quiet, but you've always felt you're better off alone.

It isn't long before the morning rush, but still no Fuuzo-

Your phone goes off. You pull it out of your pocket and see a text from your co-worker. "Gon B laet had 2 taek 1 o my cats 2 d vet" it says. Fuuzoku has cats? Huh, that's something you have in common. Mochi might as well be the only woman in your life.

The door opens. Oh! First customer of the morning rush.
