The duo's quivering cause an unforeseen accident

As the duo quivered in each other's arms, in the low light of the theater, the earrings glimmered again. Unknown to either girl their combined quivering was about to cause a problem. Between the girls’ seats was a cheap, plastic armrest that happened to be holding Makoto’s forgotten drink in its cupholder. When Makoto first leaned into Ann, she unintentionally started applying pressure onto the already weak armrest. And when Ann finally started to lean back into Makoto, she started applying pressure back.

Quick and quietly, a crack formed along the base of the armrest. With each quiver that pushed it back and forth ever so slightly, the crack grew. Soon enough, the only thing keeping the armrest upright was a small piece of plastic only as thick as a few sheets of paper. Meanwhile, the movie grew louder and louder as the monster chased a young woman into an isolated bathroom, preparing to carry out its unholy curse. Ann peaked at the scene, while Makoto kept her eyes firmly closed, trying to block everything out. Just as the monster’s torment of the young woman reached its peak, right as she let out a bloodcurdling scream – the armrest snapped! Falling to the side and sending Makoto’s drink spilling over…
