Ask him how he got the job

I try not to stare, but Eric is a nice-looking guy, and I have to admit that what I saw in Jeremy’s office got me more than a little aroused. I realize too late that Eric has been talking to me, but my mind was wandering, and I missed his question.

“I’m sorry.... What did you ask me?”

Eric grins. “A little flustered by your brother’s antics?” he asks. “I would have thought you’d be immune to that, growing up in a home like yours.”

“Well, we’re not exactly prudes,” you admit, “but I wasn’t entirely prepared to see my brother in his birthday suit. I hope he puts something a little more professional on when he is not in his office.”

“Of course he does. Well, he starts out that way, most of the time, but....” His eyes twinkle as he chooses his words. “If what you saw in there made you uncomfortable, you’d probably better wear some blinders when you walk through the studios. Jeremy does tend to exercise some ‘hands on’ leadership wherever he goes.”

I roll my eyes. “Typical guy,” I think to myself.

“So I imagine much of your day is spent taking care of the stuff my brother should be doing?” I ask him, remembering how Jeremy barely did any schoolwork while his high school. He managed to get others to do his stuff for him by offering free DVDs, advance previews of downloads, and, later on, private meetings with some of the rising starlets of the studio.

“It’s not that bad,” he says. “Jeremy’s a great boss, and he lets me be pretty flexible with my hours so I can go to class.”

“You’re in school?” I ask.

“Yeah.... I took a couple of years off after high school. I actually applied here, hoping to strike it rich as one of the actors, but all I got were bit parts. I finally decided to go back to school, and this opportunity came up to help me pay for it.”

I raise my eyebrows at this latest revelation. “I’m surprised you only got bit parts,” I say, letting my eyes drift downward to the sizable bulge between his legs. “You look like you have star material to me.” I instantly blush as I realize what I said.

Eric laughs. “Thanks. That’s what everyone told me when I auditioned. My problem is that as much as my brain wants to perform, my ‘best supporting actor’ is camera shy.”

Surprisingly, he seems to be unembarrassed to talk with me about his difficulty of getting it up. I guess working at a place like this — particularly someone who aspired to have his most intimate activities filmed and viewed by countless people — strips a person of embarrassment in that regard. I, on the other hand, find myself a bit tongue-tied.

Eric senses my discomfort, and says, “Don’t get me wrong.... I’m fully functional, and off-camera, there are no problems whatsoever.” He pauses, as if trying to choose the next words. “I can show you, if you are curious.”
